I used to get triggered bad on a scum kick. But... now, I welcome them. I move my guy up to catch it and I'm past the 50 most times. To the house a few times. And they still do it every time.
Sir, with all due respect, what you seek does not exist.
Everyone that has an issue with the "cheating" inside of MUT gameplay needs to come to terms with the simple fact that this product, whatever it may be, is not the product you are desiring.
Although it is close, and by far the closest mainstream one, it is not it.
You are probably looking for a mode where you can build your own team/squad using current and past NFL players and then take said team/squad into a H2H match and compete against other online users in a realistic NFL setting, and this sir, is not that.

The scum kick tells you your opponent is scum. Period. It doesn't matter how the rest of the game goes. A second hasn't elapsed off the clock, and you already know you are matched up against the loserest of losers.
Is scum kick where they kick it really short around the 30? I never understood why people do that. Even if i dont break a return off it, im still generally getting past the 50.

I got that dumb animation where the guy covers the ball, and you start with possession at your eight-yard line.

This is the right way to look at it. If you come to expect it, it’s literally free yards of field position. You might catch me the first time but after that, I’ll take it at the 50 every time and that’s considering I don’t house it.

User a returner. Run up to the front line. Let go of the user and let the cpu catch it and you will catch it on the run and not get that dumb animation every time.

It's one way disregard the issue.
There's plenty of plays in football that can catch a team 'sleeping', but scum kicking isn't catching a user sleeping. It leverages an exploit in the game's default logic. In the NFL, if guys have seizures on the field during live play, they get cut. Plain and simple. AI that doesn't acknowledge the kickoff is being exploited by cheaters.

Just because something has a semi-obscure counter doesn't mean it should be glossed over as insignificant. It's still cheating.

Oh I get it, I’m with you on it. It’s lame. But of all the lame things in the game, it’s probably the easiest to counter and abuse.
I accidentally hit a scum kick and the return guy missed the ball, then picked it up at like the 5 yard line, then ran into back of end zone. They got ball at the 20. Is this a counter for when you forget to run up and the ball bounces, and player misses?
