So funny, my usual method of stopping it is quitting right away and then blocking the person so I never have to play someone that thinks this is a good way to play the game. So boring to play the same play over and over. I do the same thing with people who do the kickoff glitch - just don't have time for it and I could care less about taking an L. Earlier though, when I was trying to block them, I accidentally friend requested someone - who actually accepted my friend request - lol. I immediately defriended them and then blocked them. Hilarious some idiot thinks I wanted to be "friends" with them. On a side note, I would like the satisfaction of stopping it. I was using CB blitz, and it was working to some extent. I think I probably would have prevailed in a normal game, but the game was in the event. What do other people do to stop it?
Leave the game, on to the next!

Yeah, better strategy probably. I just see people on here say they love it when someone does this play because its so easy to stop and once you do they can't play the game any other way. Trying to see what plays and strategy people use to stop it.
Wait. You can block people and not play them anymore? Also, I stop it pretty well. Nothing special. I run any zone D, I user the safety on the weak side and bring him over. Then they jump to a RPO and roast me on the weak side. LOL

I guess I just assumed that's what block did - maybe I've been wasting my time blocking people!!! Let me look...from EA forums:
Blocking another player in Madden NFL 26 through the in-game social menu (via the EA Connect menu) has the following effects:
Prevents Matching: The blocked player cannot directly join any online sessions you are hosting, and you cannot join theirs.
Matchmaking Restrictions: You will not be matched against the blocked player in online matchmaking systems.
Communication Block: You will not hear or see any voice or text chat from the blocked player.
Records Block: The block is recorded on EA servers to maintain your preferences.

That's awesome. thanks
The two primary adjustments I make before nearly every play is to shift linebackers toward the halfback's side, and slant the defensive line toward the direction of a slash run. These seem like two relatively quick ways to cover a variety of runs with either numbers or scheme. I user the MIKE across from the HB.
Sometimes you're just unlucky against Freight Train. People don't call HB Direct because it's a game-breaking play in the NFL, but in the scope of Madden's broken physics, it's dominant to the point of cheating.

Thanks for your input.
My base defense is nickel. Make sure my slot db is on the strong side/rb side. And like Phat said, shift LB’s over and slant line. If you have any user at all, typically you can bottle it up.
nickel formation, edge blitz and user the mlb and be patient following the ball carrier
also set the edge s to contain
hop on mic and say my daddy owns EA he will ban you
Here's the method I use:

That is exactly what I was looking for - thank you. I rarely look at YouTube for solutions, but this warrants it. Much appreciated.
