Not when they have freight train.

momentum shift is your best friend
only one rb has passive freight train and not many have him

Hitting the freight train early in the play absolutely still helps

This, yall. SS Too Tall has it and is free (albeit a f’n grind) and a cheaper option is ring chaser London Fletcher (which starts on and reactivates after a number of downs). You can sub in, hop offsides to preserve it and sub back in when needed. I think ROH Sean Taylor may have it too.
That said, kicking out that crutch and turning that light off with a stop behind the line is always a rewarding feeling!
What playbook has that?

Thanks
when I see a shotgun Y Off trips
I play Nickle over, shift my linebackers to the Running back side, slant my d line to running back side. Easier to stop that way. They will try and do an inside run you can start pinching the d line and keep the linebackers shifted to RB side
Make sure auto flip is on. Nickel wide cover 4 match pinch d line, slant d line opposite side of running back, blitz slot corner and manually move him to the side line a little bit and then user the deep safety opposite of the running back.
Its alot of adjusting but it works, you have to manually move that slot corner because some scum bags actually motion the slot receiver and then run direct which will manipulate your slot corner and they will bust it outside. If they don’t motion you can probably get away with just blitzing the slot corner without manually moving him outside more.
I would suggest always "usering" on the strong side of the formation. You need to meet them in the hole immediately, and especially if they have a Freight Train running back. I'll typically just play Cover 4 Quarters out of 4-3 against people spam it. The best part about playing people who run HB Direct or play exclusively in Gun Heavy Saint is that they're one-trick ponies. I had to deal with someone running QB Blast out of Gun Heavy Saint with Alstott in a ranked game last night, and these people have no idea what to do when you stifle them.
