NFL Combine

I had been looking forward to this program all year.  It was one of the better pre-endgame programs last year and I was hoping this year would surpass last year.

I saved up coins and was able to get all the 96's on my starting lineup and to my surprise, the team has been underperforming in big ways.

My pass defense went from shut down, to can't cover anyone.

My defense gave up two TDs against the CPU last night, when I hadn't given up a TD to the CPU all season.

It's almost as though the CPU knows that Porter can't cover anyone, and Crushing can't cover anyone and James is out of position on deep Zones.

I can't possibly be the only person who's noticing a huge decline in performance after switching over to NFL Combine roster.

What are you all experiencing?

The CPU is intermittently playing with better lineups that seem to go Clutch in ways unfamiliar over the past few months. That alone explains the computer scoring lately.

For lack of chemistry, the affordable NFL Combine players didn't crack the threshold needed to supplant my Super Bowl Past and Super Bowl Present players, and a handful of Genki Force players.

I'm trying to recover my coinstack for Team of the Year, which I now fear will disappoint as badly as NFL Combine has.

Ea recently buffed cpu ai/rosters to play like sweats in h2h. I was excited for combine based off previous years and had 50 mil saved for it...but looks like they will be outdated a lot quicker than previous years so i ended up not participating in buying the cards.

I'll probably just hold off for now and go back to my Theme Team.

Yeah, I don't understand why EA can't just build on top of a good thing, seems like they like to tear down and re-invent the wheel each time.

Compared to last year, Superbowl was underwhelming, all they had to do was tweak a few mistakes they made last year and it would have been a great Promo, instead we got something that feels less than what it was.

Yeah i feel the same. Not much of an upgrade except the some abilities.

NFL Combine as a program wouldn’t have been end-game in MUT 25 if the upgrade token purchases had been limited as intended. We would have had one or two players that we could upgrade as it suited us, rather than buffing the whole lineup with end-game backups with motivator chems.

I do feel that NFL Combine in MUT 26 was more than just weaker. Almost everyone with a high-end lineup coming into the week could stick with what they had, with only Patriots/Panthers theme team players coming away with any juice. It’s not engaging. The CPU mode is yet more repetitive brain rot to get a player I probably won’t use. The heroes aren’t needed for All-32 chems. I looked at everyone, and apart from the linemen, I asked myself, “Why would I want any of these?” The lack of a SPD boost from the program chemistry made it undesirable to the hardcore players, leaving us with a one-week program (??!) that is just here until it’s not.

I’ve tried out some combine players and it feels like if they aren’t part of your theme team they don’t play well. Going back to older starters and I feel like they do better.

Maybe all these theme team boosts are better than any program boosts you can manage to get for non theme team cards.

We used to have really good content and crappy gameplay and bugs/glitches 

Now it feels like content sucks too. I feel like this is the worst post Zero Chill content I have seen since starting mut over a decade ago.

I completely agree with your take, I feel nothing when it comes to this promo, nothing.

Hate to be that guy but if you getting scored on by cpu I don’t know what to say. Still easy as ever.

Man, sucks to hear EA is doing worse than from what i remember in 23. I want to get rid of my ghost but looks like combine might not be worth it

All the promos are to get you to spend money on players that aren't as good as previous releases. Its a cop out by EA to fatten their pockets.  They have upped the CPU and are given them better players and slightly increased difficulty but still easy overall but all these combine players besides a select few are garbage. Just like the Jamar Chase LTD is garbage, then now they have DK LTD with insane speed but still garbage. Michael Pittman from flashbacks is still better and so is Olave slot and Jefferson physical forms. Julius Peppers LTD was garbage too
