Most of the community love this nonsense (abilities)(x factors), EA will keep going all out. It will get worse, I could see a "hulk" ability. You gain 100 pounds after 3 hit sticks. I wouldn't put anything past EA.

I think it would be cool if they just had separate modes for abilities and non-abilities, then everyone gets what they want. It would also be cool if they had a limited H2H event,  where players actually had superpowers, or like random nonsense happens (low gravity), etc.

I just want ratings to matter, and it doesn't seem like they do, and this has been my feeling for years now. 99 PMV doesn't mean anything if you don't use abilities, whereas my ZC Lawrence Taylor with 10 AP Unstoppable Force ability can get pressure consistently while having 87 PMV and garbage FMV.

The only ratings that matter are the athletic ratings (speed, accel, agility, COD, etc.).

I get why they added abilities and X-Factors and such, but honestly that's what ratings should already be doing. If you want to separate JaMarr Chase from Rashod Bateman, ratings already should accomplish this.

I shouldn't need an ability to make my defenders catch the ball, or my blockers actually block - or various other basic things.

100% agree! I've been saying the same thing. I mode with no or limited abilities, and you can't run the same play more than 2 or 3 times a game. Or, you have to pick a coaching suggestion only.

Yeah exactly, It's so annoying when people run maybe the same 4 plays a game, both offense and defense. I know madden isn't supposed to be accurate, but it would be really funny if coaches in the nfl did the same

passive x factors and charge up x factors are bad crystals could be good to make cards better for longer but needs balance and 32 chem is out of hand but people would nonstop complain if there tt dosnt get a cracked card for free and i would be one of them complaining but not every free card should be 32 there overall just needs more balance in madden

Think they need to add a h2h with no abilities wouldn’t be hard to do at all. 

Also think it should be limited to 3 players on each side of the ball only. Would make things a lot more strategic and balanced. It gets stupid once you have 9 vanguards and FT RBs out there. 

Abilities that are skill dependent should just be part of the game. It was a huge win having all the hot routes just be part of the game finally. Should of been that way since day one. Play maker and conductor should just part of the regular game not need abilities, since it’s a skill to use playmaker and no one in real life does slow ass hot routes on purpose .

I will say the one good thing about the 32 chem this year has made it very easy to be competitive with out spending any money. 
 

 I get it everyone has the same players with it but let’s be real if that wasn’t the case everyone would just use the same theme team with the best players 🤣 

People treat madden like they going win millions off every game it’s hilarious rather win the same broken plays and all use the same team just for a win not play for fun

This year is at least a little better than last year with the abilities. I remember the superbowl cards last year already had x factors as regular abilities.

Get away from abilities,XFactors and theme team boosts, and go back to customization of scheme and physical chems that make your team feel like exactly that, YOUR TEAM, not a team you have to have players you never use on just to fill what you need for a boost. Most everybody had a role, whether on the field, or as a motivator (kinda what the Stocking Stuffer guys did this year) player. And the red chems, which interacted with each other but they didn’t bail out players like the abilities do. MUT 19 , to me, has the best balance of this, and that system with better gameplay would make this game a true W. Of course, the cost of packs, and the pack odds would be an issue, but not having to rely on theme teams for boosts would make this game much more fun because you would mostly be in control, with some exceptions, like the aforementioned motivator players on your team for a boost that only they can give you, but only needing 1-5 guys, instead of probably 15 that never see the field for the boosts they provide would be a huge boost, no pun intended, to the games…

Without reading any other comments and js going off how I personally feel, I think abilities are great. However, once we start getting XFs that are always on, XFs as 0 AP abilities, and thing like that is always when the game imo starts to take a turn. 

Getting insta shedding by 3 colossus Dlinemen or getting bottleneck pressed into the dirt or playing someone w 7 vanguard and a angry runs running back is always when the game loses the fun for me. Yes, these have counters and yes they have ways to be it but it gets really annoying having to play perfect when I just wanna bomb someone 😂  (life is too short to check down)
