Is there any workaround to get a WR in at the TE position?

No. There's some formations in the game that allow it but theyre 5 wide/spread from what ive checked.

You could check every formation in your playbook, just by trying to sub a wr at te.

Edit; gadget at HB might be the work around youre looking for, but I'm not sure how it would work exactly. If you motion them out to a slot, you could adjust route/blocking accordingly?

I've been messing around, i can get Will or Sam players in at TE and if i change those positions to mike's in my line up i can get cornerback 2 in at te, you would think if you subbed CB 2 in the pause screen depth chart with a WR that would work but it doesn't.

some players aren’t eligible to play at certain positions, you can try to engage a swap by pressing Y or triangle to edit and then try “swap everywhere…in some cases you will get message “player not eligible to play at x”

you can def just depth chart some players like Lamar and Tebow at tight end but they can only play at Wr if you use the sub menu on field

half ass solution just play the free tight end elijag arroyo at wr

That sounds like the best you could get, just run an OoP cb2( mcsPlax is tall and fast). You might be able to get a kicker over their which opens up merry mixup Ochocinco or any new OoP kicker/qb they release
