What’s going on with these? I never have this issue or am able to do this myself but every other game I’m getting these blocked. Lost a game after scoring a td with a go ahead pat that got blocked and returned for a td. Any advice to stop having this happen and tips to do it myself without glitches?
Its a glitch in the game thats been an issue since last year, i usually wait a little bit before i kick to see if they jump offsides or switch to a different player. Completely on EA and they need to patch it

I guess I can’t say I’m surprised but super frustrating when it happens. Especially annoying when they showboat into the end zone after an exploit.
They can't block it if you don't kick it. If they're blocking it by timing the snap, you'll need to simply wait a few clicks of the 'metronome' before making your attempt.
I've definitely been in the same spot as you, and it's frustrating.
It's not an exploit or a glitch, this has to be one of the dumbest issues i've heard people talk about.
They know the timing because everyone kicks straight away, if nfl teams could time the snap perfect every time they would block them too.
All you have to do is wait a second to kick, wait until they bring their guy down and then kick.
And no i'm not taking up for it because i do it, because i don't even try to block kicks but it's simple reasoning.
I think kicks should be a RNG video animation that you don't have any control over...accuracy and kpw both rng and they tell you a percentage of making it on the play screen
I just lost my 10th game in the event on a blocked fg on the 7. 🤦🏻♂️
And yes. I timed it waiting out their shenanigans pre snap. MLB hovering somehow got through.

I can’t tell if this is sarcastic or not

There is a hover glitch that doesn't seem to trigger that often, but it does happen. I haven't seen it for at least a couple months. I am seeing evidence that users are actively working on this.
Timing the kick is the most common reason why they get blocked.
I'm OK with any sort of skill-based system for blocking field goals, either by the failure of the kicking user, or the excellence of the blocking user. As for realism, I can't say for sure, but I feel like most of the blocks I've seen in the NFL come off the wing and not via the A-gap as so frequently happens in Madden.
Reason: Changed "player" to "user" for clarity.

i dont think there has been a single kick blocked from a player coming through the a-gap. i feel like most just players putting there hand up in the middle or the middle left/right and touching the ball. ive only seen a few block from coming around the outside and 2 players have jumped over the long snapper to block them (MUT Goat Simmons and Bam Bam Kam)

More proof that anyone arguing that 'timing is skill' is exploiting the very limited mechanism Madden uses for simulating field goal attempts, and their attempt as made doesn't reflect what is "in the game".
I do think there have been some a-gap field goal blocks, but I haven't found any in a very cursory search.
This one stood out to me as ordinary, and yet novel.

that was great work by him and the special teams coach, they found their snap count and used it to their advantage

Snap count is one of the things not duplicated in Madden. The idea of pressing a button for a Hard Count with the risk of a False Start penalty is a gross oversimplification of what happens on a field. The fact that defensive players in Madden get the jump they do off the snap is evidence that EA doesn't grasp what happens at the line moments before the snap. Mid Blitz shouldn't work as well as it does for that reason alone. On the other hand, hearing cadence in an away stadium (or having a silent count) is a big factor in even offensive linemen not being ready off the snap.
I don't want more RNG-type results, but if these factors in play were effectively simulated, dumb stuff we see in this game would hardly be an issue.

Yeah in my case i doubt it was any sort of glitch. Just awful timing for one to finally get batted down being the 10th game. and hell, it happens in the league and it was only the second time out of 1000+ kicks that I was blocked up the middle. Got good genki money outta the run so I ain’t mad. Damn this game man lol.
