Game definitely needs a play lock feature

Those assholes that are able to generated pressure while only sending just three pass rushers, gosh, that sounds liek an absolute nightmare.  Some serious cheese-fuckery going on here, what is this madness.

Could you imagine if someone had a Gadget player in there, with an X-factor that started on?  Almost as if Madden is totally ability driven, who knew?!  Also, water is wet.

Oh yes, you are correct.  Out of the 32 teams this last year, I saw only 2 different schemes all year.  In fact, I saw a game of 2 NFL teams run wildcat every play for the entire game.  Your logic is broken...  

You can keep copying other people's work off of YouTube and pretend you're good because you can follow instructions.  You chase that dopamine rush for useless wins in a dead game.  Obviously we view this game completely different.  When you start making $ off your wins, I might have a little respect your approach.  Until then, you just another lemming that is ruining the community.

 Well first off I have to thank everybody for responding and from the looks of the responses just in here I can tell I’m not alone in this matter. 

EAhas to be aware of this situation but to turn a blind eye to this matter definitely is not right. They should address this because it’s something that has been happening for years in madden and it ruins the experience and they can fix this situation simply  by putting on a play calling lock system. I don’t see why this is a bad thing

You're the reason why Madden is the way it is. You can't make a read, so you go to one of the most unstoppable plays in Madden because the defensive detection is awful for stopping the run. Idk how running the same play and drooling out your mouth is fun.

I switched it up. Got a new playbook and was still crushing people. Never "cheated" once the past two days. Still have multiple people hopping on the mic to say they were cheated. It all comes down to people sucking and wanting to find excuses for why they suck instead of taking the time to get better.

 I have stated in the past I’ve focused on not playing as much as I used to but had the opportunity of playing with a very good player in squads  and had somewhat of a fun time playing. 
so afterwards when everyone left, I figured I’d play a game or two only to be encountered by nothing more than exploits and glitches, I ran into a play called HB  direct snap with a running back with his X Factor activated which I found it almost impossible to stop  and on D he was running that 3  man  glitch, which I don’t understand how this late in the season five 95 overall offensive lineman can’t stop this three  man line  exploit where the player  hovering over the middle lineman instantly gets in. 
So I quit only to get matched up with somebody running a qb strong power play over and over I eventually figured out how to stop it somewhat, but by then it was too late And the same   3 man d exploit on defense.. 

I’ll get to the point because I can go on and on and on with this, so like the thread says, the game definitely needs a play count lock system  because the game is so broken in ways that the only way to fix this and to make the game playable  is to incorporate a locked play call system.  When you consider the fact that people are spending money on this game and you can even argue the fact that people are putting hours into the game only to have these things occur over and over really ruins the experience. 

If they can’t fix this because the short time they have between the games then  the only way to go about it is to incorporate the locked  Play calling system where if you call a play a number of times it will get locked. This way as a community The game will be way more fun and enjoyable because this is just pure garbage and nonsense and not the way football should be played

Nothing in this game is impossible to stop. You just got to get better and learn how to adjust and understand the adjustments period. Lmao no need for no play lock . If these guys run plays that are unstoppable we’d see them in the MCS Finals making hundreds of thousands of dollars. You don’t see the pros in the MCS running unstoppable plays because there is no such thing lol. This games all about adjusting to your opponent you have learn to keep up.

They just need to make it based off of actual football if I call a coverage that would stop it in real life 100% of the time it should work on madden. Issue is there are people that know football know what play is coming how to stop it but the logic of the game won’t do what they should. 

Yes there is away to stop it but it then becomes who can hit more buttons faster before the ball is snapped that’s stupid. People know damn well veritable plays are broken and get taking out the game next year and they suck again till later in the year when the glitch plays are found and posted on YouTube. Players that are good know football concepts that work in any play set

 Makes sense why a lot of NFL players are not good at this game because they are confused and that itself makes no sense because here these players are so good that they’ve become professionals at it yet when they get on Madden they are completely lost because it’s like what you said certain coverages that would work in real life don’t work in the game and that’s not right especially in 2026

 Now as far as that person saying that every cheese play can be stopped  I think he’s missing the point. The game has become nothing more than a copycat of exploiting the game. it’ has gone further and further away what football is 

Think about the casual  player or player that has about enough time for one or two games a day  who does not have the time to sit there and figure out what’s the new way to counter this weeks glitch. He should be able to get on the game and not worry about somebody running half  back Direct snap all game over and over just to have it happen in the very next game having the same experience all over again. 

You also have to factor  in that this should not be a thing  when there’s money involved. They are advertising obtaining players through purchasing points, which are  then used in the store of the game .  To me  It means they’re selling a broken product. 
 ask yourself what’s the point of  spending 4000 points to get  the best player of the week when he’s going to be useless because someone has an exploit that dummies out the entire defense or offense.

So again I believe, putting a lock on a play when it is used a certain amount of times is the best and simplest way to fix this issue

lol of course you need to click more buttons to adjust that’s the whole point. Nobody wants a simple game where you pick one defense against a specific play and you’re good to go. It’s almost robotic if that’s the case. Very rarely you call a play stock. This game is like a chess match with many different variables. Same thing in real life football teams make adjustments they don’t just call cover 4 and call it a day 😂

Real life nfl players aren’t “good” because it takes take time to learn how to play the game and even deeper learn how to make certain adjustments needed to stop a play in Madden. Not because the called cover 2 or something which should’ve stopped a play but didnt work… 

I’m curious how often you as a player make adjustments because a lot of these “glitches” can be stopped.  If you’re not willing to practice and take the time to understand mechanics, abilities, coverages etc you won’t be able to compete and continue to complain about “glitch” plays lol

And if you’re just an avg player who only has time for a game or two maybe mut isn’t for you.
