Now imagine wall street, Fortune 500 companies, crypto markets, betting platforms (Polymarket & Kalshi)... almost literally everything is being manipulated and controlled in the ways that you have accurately depicted above. We all want to run around discussing the glory of the "free" markets, but i assure you, none of these markets are free. There's plenty of folks that do this purely for virtual currencies, it's only the coin farmers that have turned it into a for-profit business, which in turn corrupts 90+% of streamers and content creators out there. Definitely makes things worse for all of us trying to just fund our rosters to play the damn game.
EA hates these coin farmers, because it's cutting into their profits -- not because they care about fair, fun, nor balanced gameplay scenarios for us regular guys trying to compete in H2H/Squads, whatever online play. Once you understand how easy it is to manipulate these markets, well... it's basically a license to print coins. Each and every single year, there's accounts with 100M+ coins stacked on em. I have no clue what the max coins is allowed by the system, but getting to 999,999,999 is probably an impossible feat, even for the iJoeBruins of the world. But that's not who you are singling out here, it's the for profit coin sellers that are the real issue. Nobody has a solution. So we get some janky ass bots auto-banning players who fall prey to whatever today's Min/Max prices are. Absolutely wild that EA controls the pricing, yet still removes us for trying to color within the lines they set out for us. What a nightmare.
Unfortunately, all of us are the assholes -- who want to consider this a serious gaming company, or a legit online H2H competitive title.

There have been posts on here where people have talked about and admitted they were part of a discord where all the members were discussing price fixing of certain cards. At the time, he warned us about the Crystals and that was the cards the group was targeting. If you watched the AH, you could easily see everything he was discussing. Anything posted for less than 1.5m was immediately bought and reposted for 1.8m.

I think coin cap is only thing to make people stop. It’s for their own good, really. I honestly cannot imagine spending hours upon hours in the menus. I have done that before in 25 and I can’t believe I did. It’s just terrible behavior and I didn’t even get much out of it.
I feel bad for these people. It doesn’t help that they have their discords and streamers to circle jerk with, and low IQ players that buy the cards. Everyone loses, and EA wins.
MUT is getting pretty gross tbh. It just doesn’t give me a good feeling to engage with anymore. Regs h2h is okay, tho. I guess I’ll just play that to get my fix.

Your remark about "suck at the game and don't know ball" actually couldn't be more off the mark if some of these market gurus are just trying to manage their coinstack so that they can afford the items with discounted abilities that can help them shut down the actual users that suck at the game and don't know ball, but can play a game on a script. This game has sucked since the Frozen abilities went away, and speed boosting and stretch spamming and Mid-Blitzing spamming started in earnest.

If EA could figure out an algorithm to identify collusion and price-fixing, I'd have no problem with it being applied with the result that associated users would be banned. I'm going to let this concept churn in the back of my head, but my gut reaction is that there isn't a purchase data-based method of identifying this particular kind of abuse.
