It's a video game (not a simulation like they claim), that being said if you can't adjust to someone running the same play then quit, that's on you for not knowing how to audible and adjust, like real football they adjust.  Problem with no abilities and x factors ratings and speed when out then, (think of start of madden 26) Thornton and porter were 72 rated but the fastest cards driving the price up to over a million instantly, then you can't afford normal cards you still lose.  Just learn to adjust, and it's just a video game at the end of the day, and this is coming from a person 47 and not on the game all day.

You just need an algorithm that filters players who repeatedly call the same plays, or plays out of the same formation, even when the opponent's personnel dictate that a football coach would do otherwise. Let the stretch-run-spamming, RPO-spamming, Bunch X-spamming, Mid-Blitz-spamming freaks beat each other over the heads, and for those players that can call a game claiming to represent football like it's actually a football game, they can play a version of this game that would actually be enjoyable.

There are probably a handful of other cheesy things that happen that would be hard to build an algorithm around, but this first approach would get rid of a lot of the chumps that make so many games a negative-play experience.

Honestly I think they need to just have a guess play feature, there are times I know the exact  play they are calling but just the way the the game assigns what the players are to do are just not correct. 

So that’s when you have to make unrealistic adjustments something as simple as moving the saftey out side your slot CB can completely change how the RPO read is played. Issue is you don’t always have time to make all the correct adjustments when I know the damn play. 
 

A lot of these players can’t come off that first read so if this was a feature you’d stop the abuse of the coding/ logic. Let the down side be if your wrong and it’s a good player they can go some where else and it be wide open. But if I want my damn players to stop the bubble they should every time and let me worry about the run as the user but that be what is the weakness now. 

There needs to be more simple ways to stop plays and take away what you know is coming, and have the down side be you’ll get beat in another way if they make the right read which 90% of the players can’t do. They watch a YouTube video see there is a flaw in the logic and it takes a lot of adjustments rather then being able to call the correct coverage or man up your guy but they still fall for the run even when you say not to just as an Example or the damn auto motion plays the ai dumbs out. Would make it better for everyone. 

Yes there is always a way to stop it but it shouldn’t be like your playing GTA back on the PS2 putting in cheat codes before the snap to do it. If you know you know

Personally I love when people come out in the same play, after a few downs I will eventually lock it up. The hardest thing to defend is someone running the same formation but they run like 5-6 different route combos out of it.

It’s not about that it’s the fact it takes some many adjustments at times to stop some plays that clearly have a coding/ logic issue to it. Hence why a lot of times they get parched or taken out or fixed on the next madden. 

Yes there is a stop for everything but it shouldn’t be so cumbersome to do it for someone spamming it. If in real life cover 2 would shut it down it should in the game then let the person have to make a read that beats the cover 2. Just make it so when cover two gets beat it gets beat at the weakness in that defense etc. 

There is rpo read bubbles if I man up any player I should override anything the game originally assigned that player to do and he should only focus on the bubble. But that’s not the case you have to make sure he’s not the read key and your in a formation that allows that not everyone has time to or really wants to figure all that out. It’s people taking advantage of bad game coding and logic applied.

Manning up an rpo player is lovely for me to see. One motion and now I get that manned player in the rpo conflict, OVERRIDING your man coverage input. That’s just one example. 

There’s so many levels to this and I don’t think you all really grasp that or want to accept that.

But what you’re doing with that motion isn’t a football move. It’s a Madden move. It wouldn’t work in real life, whereas what the other fellow is saying does.

I’m just tired of these haughty braggarts claiming “adjust” when they deliberately focus on using broken plays on offense and defense, and know full well it’s more about the up-up-down-down-left-right-left-right-B-A-Start than it is about football. Cheat codes is not stick skills.

I’m just saying it as a general statement for people that don’t get to play that much or just want to pick it up to play here and there it shouldn’t be so much to stop certain things. 

General football knowledge should apply to stopping certain things I’ll admit I play more than I should 🤣 so I understand it and can stop these dumb plays but it still sucks and makes it less fun. 

Now imagine you don’t have time to figure it out it would be very un enjoyable and that shouldn’t be the case for people that love football and want a good football game

In real life, the rules for read-options work differently than the way they are imposed in Madden. The users response to you was very clear that he knew what is coming, and he should be able to tell a player “don’t follow your typical coded logic”. But he can’t, and your example shows clearly that the offense can make defenders act dumb. This is not how real football works.

I can’t motion him correct, but I can motion the people, around him, including possibly, wait I know it’s hard to fathom, audible to the same play out of a different formation.

So you have never been under center for a real read option game plan in pads. Ok. Good to know.

If anything, EA is bailing you out on that read. Your guy by definition should be bailing back turned to the QB leaving a huge void for me to blaze through. Instead he’s put in conflict which is a read but a detriment to me as well. So it goes both ways, kids just don’t ever want to acknowledge or understand that.
