In previous Maddens, if I squared up a defender to a ball carrier, I might miss a tackle because of a spin or juke, or my guy might bounce off because of Tank or Freight Train. But this year is different. I'll be running my defender downhill, and the opposing ball carrier will not necessarily change his vector. Inertia dictates that when I lower the boom, I should contact the ball carrier squarely. Instead it seems that in many cases my would-be tackler's angle of approach actually changes, as if it's dictated in advance that I will miss the tackle from the time I attempt it.

Is anyone else dealing with this, or am I just seeing things?
