Can Present Player Lawrence Taylor not catch if you put him at Edge

I have him at Edge, with only Pass Rush abilities - no Lurk Artist

I made a perfect switch stick with my user, cut in front on a bubble RPO and was in perfect position for a guaranteed pick six

and STONE HANDs, dropped it

He has 84 catching, 80 Catch in traffic

I only asssume once put someone on the DLine, the game automatically makes them catch catch wtihout lurk artist/pick artist?

As I dont have either lurk or pick artist - just pass rush abilties - but assumed 84 catching wouldnt need abilities

You had LT on your DLine? Who do use at the WILL?

it’s not 100% of the time for abilites remember

I dont use anyone at Will - I only play Nickel or Dime

I'm literally running the same personnel. And to answer your question, he's got stone hands at edge... even with lurk artist, i've gotten 2 picks out of probably 30 that have bounced off of him.

He is a beast, but to be honest he only had 9 INTs his entire 13 yr. career. 2 of which he took to the house. I can still remember the one he had on Thanksgiving back in '82. Most dominate defensive performance EVER!

I'm probably old enough to be your Dad's Grandpa, so that will be Great Grandpa to you. Like I said, LT took over that game by himself, and the man only played the second half. So you go ahead and live in your virtual video game world where everyone has 99 SPD, and Merry Mixed Up players rule the day and allow me to enjoy my memories of a legendary performance by one of the game's All Time Greats. Just remember "It's in the Game" for a reason. Oh and BTW LT played ROLB his entire career so giving him a Will card does not make him out of position.

It’s madden they believe in what will bring the most money. So for the minority of the community who love Oop and spend the most money they are gonna allow unrealistic cards.

I am not saying that LT has an unrealistic card. Hell, I think that card is really good. I was only saying that throughout his Hall of Fame career he was never noted for getting a lot of interceptions, and that I was lucky enough to see one of his most memorable ones firsthand.

as someone who has experimented with putting pass coverage LBs on the dline at times for flat / cloud flat zone coverage, I can confirm that for some reason any player put on that position even with lurk artist do not animate properly. including at times the player will let the ball hit both hands. it plays out like when you put a cb at wr without the dual ability and then they randomly drop passes.

My favorite player growing up and coincidentally the year I was born. Hell I thought I was an “unc” on here. Much respect to you, Sir!

While technically correct, the WILL position is referred to for a 4-3 scheme. They do not stand up in an edge position. So, yes, he is an OOP.  Obviously a majority of players throw him at DE which makes sense.

Truthfully, if you knew LT the person and read his full autobiography and some of his books, you’d learn that LT was a coke addict, a heavy drinker and doesn’t even remember his career. Could never suit up for a game sober. His words. The greatest D player is subjective. I could say NTL is the greatest. Reggie White. Deion Sanders. 
 

Oh don’t get me wrong, LT was a great player. In Madden he’s always a hot card like Vick, Moss, Deion, etc. my point was this game is stupid and OOPs have ruined it so IRL stuff doesn’t exist. Not to EA. Because they’ve got a bunch of millennials creating content and turned it into an arcade cluster f***.
