I can’t be the only one who feels like the KO abilities are way out of hand. I just played against a dude who runs 3-3 quarters. All four his deep zones have deep zone KO. His flats have flat zone, and his 2 middle hole players have mid zone. It’s genuinely impossible to throw the ball because if your receiver gets sneeze on before he “becomes a runner” as defined by maddens animations, he’s going to drop it every single time. As some one who doesn’t want to default to cheesing or always running meta, does anyone have any solutions to this to be able to play offense?
I think for me when I see something that dominates me, I try that strategy against the CPU and see where the holes are. Sounds silly, but the CPU can run plays that give you a good idea of where the holes in your coverage are. Alternatively, throw all the KO's on and go into practice mode and have the CPU run your playbook with random plays and just pay attention to what happens on passing plays.
Here, it seems like curl routes or flood concepts would work, depending on how this person users. Additionally, since they're running 3 rushers only, you can look for scramble lanes and utilize playmaker as well.
It’s the time of year again for it unfortunately but also a great time to mix in the run. Poe gets unstoppable vanguard after a TD so go to town on em. I’ll also go more shallow in the passing game and stem down but mixing things up will keep em guessing and outta position for the KOs especially corners when they’re in zone. I’ve certainly enjoyed the pre-KO phase this year more than most so I feel ya.

Throw to open players or run. Kos aren't even close to being as good as they were and you still catch ridiculous passes in traffic. You're probably just used to catching anything you throw with how insane the aggs have been all year, but now defenders will play the ball so it's an adjustment from the way the game has played all year.
I don’t really think my kos are overpowered. It’s mid zone that seems to be effective for me. Deep zone doesn’t seem to always activate. And it’s only cuz people think they can try and agg catch or throw right next to someone.
I feel like their perfect

Yea I must be playing a different game than these guys. KO’s seem pretty balanced imo.
I run the ball religiously out of the ravens playbook. Heavy sets are king as you can flood formation with tight ends for better blocking. Once you figure out zone versus man, it gets pretty simple. Weakside te corner routes eat when I have to pass

It genuinely baffles me that people like the game without abilities. Obviously to each their own but I don't understand how the game rewarding blind reads is ever a good thing. I Would understand it more if ea made a casual mode where that happens, but I have multiple clips of people catching double or even triple covered balls in mcs ladders, the most competitive gameplay you can get on this game, and multiple people on twitter said it was good for the game and to stop crying😂.

Agreed. Defense is in a good spot right now.
i believe we should have possession, rac, and aggressive catch abilities on wr's and te's

again speak straight facts. the abilities make up for the horribly coded game EA puts out every year and makes it manageable.
Maybe I’m old school, but I hate the ability’s. I think it’s just another way for EA to generate cash. It’s not needed.

Agreed. I miss when stats actually mattered. You could really tell by route running back in the day. Now if a player doesnt get this or that, its considered trash
