Not sure if you press. That matters. I use Short route kos on top 3 cbs with universal coverage xfactors on top 2. Worth it.

Thanks
You're probably gonna have to manually press the TE to stop those kinds of routes. The CPU doesn't press TE's for some reason, and without it, they run free.. No ability in the game with consistently shut those down.
Good thing this year, though, is that you can press them instantly, and switch stick off after. Previous years you have to actually man guard the TE the whole time.

THIS^^ 💯% this. I keep trying to play primarily straight up Man coverage now that we can have Inside + Outside Shade on all of our DBs.
This stuff is GREAT for beating novice or weaker opponents, however anyone remotely competent will ultimately cook our DBs, especially now that big Harold Carmichael exists. He's essentially impossible to Press, at least I have not had much, or any success. Not to mention, Small pass lead increase will turn your Cover 0 stuff into Streak simulator, which is also difficult, if not impossible to defend. Dude is just too big and strong at the moment.
For a while I when tried using Bench Press, but couldn't really get enough wins to consistently tire out receivers.
Those simple Drag / Mesh concepts basically force us to choose. On top of (shaded down & inside) Cover 2 Man, with all the relevant abilities, we're still going to give up one (or both) of those Drags. I tend to drop 9 into coverage at this point, putting one DE into a Hard Flat (or maybe Bluff Blitz) to help take away one side, then I go out to USER the opposite and hope to force a mistake. YMMV, but it's tough out there. I'm back to Zone at the moment.
