Been playing mut since '16 but took a 3 year hiatus and want to get back into the game over the holidays. Have built up a roughly ~$2million coin stack (from pack pulls) but not sure where else to get started. Not trying to waste hours on pointless solos so if y'all could help me decide which solos and sets are most worth my time / coins much would be appreciated!!!

Hey there, brother! Welcome back. You came back at a decent time, the game is overall fairly playable, despite being the usual buggy ass, inconsistent mess we've all come to expect from the once great and storied Madden football franchise. I would highly encourage you to do your Zero Chill (CPU) Event, 10 wins gets you a Long Snapper. I know this sounds boring, but it'll become essential later in the year when we're trying to build those 20/20/20 split theme teams.
Your next order of business is to begin building towards your favorite theme team. Doesn't really matter what that is, but immediately focus on getting to full 50/60 theme team of your choosing, that +2 SPD boost will be huge. Beyond that, the 1st series of Crystal players (PS2, Saquon & Micah) will enable you to get an additional +1 SPD point. It may not be an immediate need, but something to focus on down the road. Should remain relevant for the coming months, while we work towards maxing out our players at 99 SPD.
The specific Solo Challenges have changed a bit, in the sense that we're now earning Weekly Spotlight tokens, which can be used on a range of players/cards from various promos (but not ALL promos), so any Legends, TOTW, etc. type players you need, eventually those will be able to earned for free, by putting 25/25 Weekly Spotlight tokens into a specific set. But those tokens are the same, so my point is, doesn't really matter what or where you start. Definitely Zero Chill & Ghosts.
I (along with handfuls of other players) were recently and wrongly banned from the auction house for buying and selling cards during Blitz promo when prices fluctuated tremendously, so i was debating starting on my side account while I wait to fight out the appeals and Binding Arbitration process... so i've been considering the task you are about to embark upon. Except i don't have 2M coins to start. Be sure to grab your 93 BND before the next refresh. You'll need enough Snow to upgrade all the new players, specifically Cam Newton (LB) and Poe (TE), as well as the previous Zero Chill offerings. Definitely start with the Zero Chill Solos, you'll get the best corner in the entire game, Trevon Diggs. I chose ZaDarius Smith for my freebie, but maybe Tebow makes more sense for your roster.
Get as much speed on the field as possible, using your favorite theme team. There are a TON of All 32 team chem cards this year, making most any theme team viable. Don't wait, start building that by acquiring as many low OVR Gold cards for backup positions, without breaking the bank. Shouldn't be difficult to get to full 50/60, or even 55/60 (if you value that extra +1 ACC). Hope something in these ramblings can help nudge you in the right direction. Overall, Madden gameplay is as decent as it's been since i came out of retirement (back during M22 cycle, but didn't fully engage with MUT until M23 after decades long break from Madden and console gaming).

I have no shortage of (often strong) opinions on various aspects of Madden Ultimate Team, so please do not hesitate to ask any follow-up questions, or specific information. Enjoy, my good man!

Like Peatrick said get your TT ASAP. And getting the 1st crystals is very big also. I would make that second priority. Especially if you don't spend a lot of money(like me).
Also do the weekly spotlight pass every week to get the tokens. At 25 tokens you can get a weekly promo BND player which is cheap and easy. I save mine until there are players from my TT.

I was gonna ask who everybody spends their tokens on.. I think the most logical thing to do is either linemen or your consistent TT. Spend it on cards that have longevity.
Are crystals really worth it? I started late and have seen numerous people bring it up but those are expensive ass cards....
how much money did you spend to get to 2 million coins?

I do on my TT only. Helps keep a competitive team without spending as many coins. They also have the toty token set that takes i think 65 weekly tokens.

$65 - got super lucky and hit a Puka LTD and a few other lucky 92/93 pulls + platinum quicksells.
