Opinion On Theme Team Management

If you run a theme team, or are a dedicated fan of a specific team and you run players on your squad from an active rival team you are a fraud, a fake, a poser. Where is your loyalty?

For example, if you are a Patriots fan but you use Josh Allen at QB? Fraud. If you are a Bears fan but you used Jahmyrr Gibbs? Fraud. A Ravens fan using Tee Higgins? FRAUD. A Buccaneers fan using Drake London? FRAAUUUUD.

I can make a minor exception for players who played in like the 80s or earlier when conferences and divisions and all were different, cause historical players are cool, but if you use any player who played during the active rivalry of your team you lack integrity as a football fan

and don't spin me some line about 32 tEam ChEms, grow a backbone

We have the sweatiest of the commuinity using raiders teams and only praying for raiders players over their own hometown teams in new drops. 

What you describe is much better than what the true sweats of madden have become.

I dont like using seahawk players on my 49ers tt lol

Everyone likes to cosplay as pro madden players, even though they copy someone elses team, abilities, playbook, and plays. I say if you can't figure out how to play on your own, you're never gonna actually be good. It is also much more fun to live in reality and have fun with the game than it is to pretend like one is a pro player.

If you use Seahawks, Rams or Cards you would unfortunately fall into the fraud category. I am gonna include Dallas in there too.

So as a Cts fan, am I a "fraud" if I use Andre Johnson?

I don’t use Steelers ever

Browns it depends(probably no Garret since he kills us but if the card is insane and gets ravens chem maybe)

I kinda like the bengals(mostly because I got chase, chase brown, and burrow in fantasy this year)

I am a lifelong Patriots fan and prefer to run only Patriots (past or present) players

The problem I run into, since I play primarily offline and focus on objectives and completing the field pass I have to slide in non-Patriots players to achieve certain goals.  It's usually a backup lineman, LB or a 5th WR or CB but I still feel dirty doing it.

100% agree, I refuse to use players I dislike which is every bear, viking, most lions, amongst other random players i dislike in real life

Jacoby Jones, Le'Veon Bell, TJ Watt, and Troy P are the only exceptions I make for Steelers players (obviously bc 2 of them also were Ravens)

After 50+ years of watching FB its seems pretty pathetic to dislike someone because of their team.
