I'm like 7-20 right now and I can't literally have any fun online. It's more me yelling at the game lmao. Like why is h2h so bad right now I want to have some fun and not be like the fucking hell every time they drop the ball. Any tips for not getting so mad lmao
Honestly just try to remember it's only a video game bro. If it is affecting your emotions and spilling over into other areas of your life maybe consider hanging up the virtual cleats for awhile to recalibrate.
Take a break, also consider coming up with a new scheme on offense and/or defense and just lab it against the CPU offline first to really master it. Then take it into H2H and see what you can do.

Thanks for the reminder and I might have too .

People these days. Why can’t they read as well as they can spout opinions? How does scheme help with dropped balls in a mode that is hurting people with lame RNG stuff like slips off the line or when cutting?
If this game layered this simulation-type condition on top of a game that was more than an arcade game with NFL properties, it might be enjoyable. Failing to earn achievements or rewards due to RNG is stupid, and the bad rolls don’t balance out quickly enough in a Win-[x]-in-a-Row environment. You have to cheat to get your ten, and anyone playing legitimately will succumb to RNG before they reach their goal. Therefore, everyone cheats, and even when you play against a non-proficient cheater, the RNG often gets you.

You're right, when he asked for help I should have told him to just quit and give up smh. Thanks for the input
Sure RNG is in there but im currently 13-1 in H2H Ranked (dont have much time to play but if I did I'd be top 100 I'd say lol. I was like 31-3 last ranked szn) and have won multiple legend superbowls so take my advice as you will. Oh and I also spend quite some money on this so my team is pretty loaded but anyway... dudes with worse teams have given me hell so:
OFFENSE:
1.- Get a scheme.
Dont care if its from youtube or whatever. But do it. Its essential to really move the ball. Offense has never been easier so knowing a few plays that are good no matter what and getting comfortable running them is necessary to win games.
2.- Pre Snap Reads
Another very important component. You have to know if its man, zone, etc. This helps knowing where to go/who you are looking for/if you should audible before anything happens. Obviously lowering the risk of mistakes.
3.- Progressions/Post snap reads.
Every play you should be going through a progression. If your 1 read is not open, you go to 2nd. If not 2nd, 3rd. If nothing is open, throw it out/take the sack. Have to learn patience for this.
4.- ALL pass protectors, gunslinger and human joysticks.
IMO these are the best abilities to have. With zero chill players you can have multiple of these. This is more personal preference but it has worked well for me.
DEFENSE:
For defense eh I just play cover 3 cloud out of Over G but I know theres a lot of defenses out there like dime, 6-1 but this is what works for me.
1.- All DoNs and All mid zones with the current zero chill promo.
I get crazy pressure for most of the game and midzones react really good to everything thrown. Gotta have as much as you can of these.
2.- Have a good user and be a good user.
Ted Hendricks has been pretty good on 50/50 Raiders with speed crystals. But being a good user is more than just the player. You MUST know where you have to stand before the play. You MUST know what the rest of your players are doing so you dont have 2 guys covering the same thing. I usually just lurk the middle and adjust accordingly to my opponent. Have eyes for what your opponent is doing and where he is going. Cover one route for a second and jump to the next.
Thats pretty much all I got. It takes some time but you eventually get it down. I have been playing MUT for a long time too since Madden 13. Just gotta keep at it. And remember that an L always teaches you something and you just get better from it. Godspeed brother.
It’s been a lot tougher since All-Madden with all the boosts turning some unexpected cards into world beaters on the offensive side of the ball.
Stay away from the events. That’s where you’ll find the majority of assholes exploiting the game.
If you play ranked, don’t take it so seriously and keep in mind that it’s a long game in that as long as you win like 1 out of every 3/4, you’ll keep progressing. Easier said than done, I know, but it is nice you get rewarded more for Ws and penalized less for Ls and I’ve seen dudes with crazy losing records still finish in the champ tier…. Just takes them longer. During the middle of the ranked season is when competition seems to get easier as the ultra competitive have already got their rewards and have hung it up. Towards the end everyone is grinding.
Also taking a short break is good advice in that I’ll find that for every streak where I’ll get belt to ass, I’ll get a nice run in matchmaking somehow the next and go a streak. And with the ranked system being what i mentioned, this more than makes up for the rage fest that happened the day before.
Now tactically, load up on frozen ability players now and stack that d line with zero DON abilities. Thats all you need in the trenches. Use the other ap to shore up your secondary and LBs matching your scheme (man vs zone) and take a look at your tendencies and identify how you tend to use the specific players in your pass coverage to select the appropriate man or zone ability. You can check all this in practice mode.
I feel ya man. When autumn classic/all Madden was happening, Rice and Kupp of all people were giving even corners like Deion problems for me at times! But it’s just a game and it’s all fantasy so can’t let it get to ya. Happy we’ve moved past that promo for sure and the name of the game right now is to take advantage of those frozen 0 ap abilities to try to counter what you can.

Great great advice. Im learning that 4 or 5 plays on offense using custom stems is the way to go. Still struggling with giving up huge plays on 3rd and long but maybe mid zone ko is the way to go

Regardless if they game is bad or inconsistent , it will be equally bad for your opponent , but if you have a better scheme and or game plan you can overcome these more consistently . Or like you and so many others blame everything and everyone on why you are not good at the game .

no game is worth losing your peace, if it is taking your peace from you, then sell your team, take a break from mut online, and practice offline for like a week, you'll come back much better.
Its a game and meant to be fun...I will grant you that at times EA makes that difficult...just remember that everytime something goes sideways for you...it is going in a good direction for your opponent. So...you may not get the "breaks" or the win, but your opponent did and I likely made them happy...so when things are going bad I focus on the fun my opponent is having and thus I still win (I got to make them happy).

The most helpful advice you gave was to detox. Unfortunately, playing with better scheme is not enough to overcome the RNG, which is most specifically what he cited. You’ll have to cheat on top of scheme to earn the real rewards. Therefore, the most useful advice after detox is, sadly, Learn How to Cheat.

Equally bad doesn’t solve the problem. Sufficiently bad makes mathematically improbable that on a game-to-game basis, you’ll escape enough game-losing rolls to win enough games in a row.
Keep sweating out those ill-gained wins, justifying it with your Git Gud mentality. The Head-to-Head experience in this game is the worst it’s been as long as I have played, and guys like you keep recommending the true cure-all, using words like “scheme” as a synonym for “glitch”.
Thank you.

Why troll the op’s thread or me for that matter when I’m trying to help someone (whether you agree with the help or not). You’re not the arbiter of good advice.
