Got him yesterday, I made sure to select "Finish Event'
I backed out of MUT, quit the game. Logged back into MUT and re-visited the CPU Event Rewards tab & backed out again & VOILA!! the pack appeared on my screen when I went back to the MUT home screen.
Give it a try it might work.
