The way the ability reads it is all kos along with deflator as long as you are tackling during the catch attempt.

It's probably random like most abilities to activate and there's probably a small window during the catch animation in which it will activate.

Yes but KOs his better reaction to zones I believe where as  menace doesn’t say it gives better reactions only knockouts to perfect tackles during catching
