I've been testing out abilities in the run game I mainly run simple hb dive and I have post up on all 5 lineman and it has almost no impact in the run game even in the rare occurrence when it does activate really doesn't impact the play idk if it's just me or what.

It's too hard to double team. If ur run heavy, spread run protect thru out your entire line.

Does linchpin actually do anything. I had it on for a long time and then took it off to use the 2 ap elsewhere and didn't notice a difference.
I use nasty streak on all my lineman. It works pretty good

Nasty streak is solid if some weirdo is spamming safeties on their defensive line. Otherwise the only lineman abilities you want are the pure protection ones. Secure protector is universal. Preferred
if u want to run post up only use it on ur center and OTs. its better in pass blocking IMO tho, can shut down DoNs and even XFs sometimes

Does anyone but a running back have secure lol

No. I do run protection because im run heavy. FB from the niners gets it tho. All day is half protection, not the worst option
Post Up essentially guarantees or increases the odds that your OL will combo block then release to the next level. If you don't run this, you can often see your lineman get stuck on the combo block, allowing hte 2nd level defender to easily shoot the gap.
I've ran both post up and nasty streak, and I find nasty streak more usefull because you'll have a lot of impact block opportunities on linebackers/DB's and those blocks will absolutely win you run plays whereas Post Up will not.

All of this is why I keep it simple with pure run protect. I typically find my players in 1 on 1 blocking, if there is a transfer, that's where the TT boost helps with mobility
