Returning after a couple of years off.
The obession with bunch x nasty, 5+ adjustments every snap, immediate wr motions when they suspect man coverage, rpo spam near the redzone and all over the field, scum kicking inches inside the landing zone. I see the same 1-2 schemes almost every game.
I know matchmaking is worse during the week, but when did it start to get this bad? It's tough when you're just looking for a casual online experience.
It's insane man. Plus the defense animations/coverage are non existent whether man or zone so it's extra fun!
H2H seasons is a little better than doing H2H ranked, but you still get games like that. I don't worry about it too much, just do what I can and if I lose I lose. I use those games to experiment with running different stuff too.

Fair, but it becomes annoying when every game feels like a total sweat to the end. Miss the days of casual madden before everyone only cared about pro league playbooks and wathing youtube to learn thier adjustments - wondering if these players simply don't exist anymore or if the mathmaking has gotten out of hand with SBMM
To answer the title, MUT became a sweatfest when the dollar amounts /time people spent on their squads got so immense that it no longer was even a game to them it became an "investment" of time and/or money. Casual MUT players hardly exist anymore IMO (that's not to say bad players don't because they're out there haha)!

It can be frustrating at first, but most players who run this stuff arent that good. If you can learn how to shut down the 3 plays they run on offense, they crumble.
