Can someone explain this? I running a kick return with Fryar 95 speed. Break a tackle and I'm flying down the field and I mean open field but somehow that MCS McCollum safety catches me by gunning me down from way on the opposite side of the field. He clearly not as fast and only has 69 stamina or something like that. How and the hell does he catch me? This is partially why I think these speed boosts are overrated and acceleration Fryar is faster so I'm so confused

Stamina doesnt mean anything. When Henry made McCollum, he pointed out the stamina and said it didnt matter

But explain the speed of you can
mccollum has 89 pursuit, which would likely pass the 90 threshold due to some sort of TT/strat item boost, which plays a massive factor in hawking players down. Can't explain why that bridges whatever the speed gap is but thats likely why, plus he would've started his run ahead of fryar due to it being well yk a kickoff
If the game wants you to get caught from behind, it's going to happen.
No one ever wonders why they get tracked down in hard solos by guys 10+ speed slower than the ball carrier. Same principle in H2H.

The rating might not mean much but it does mean something during the play guys do get tired and get slower
It's wild because the speed and accel on one player can be more than another player but you still get caught even with a full stamina bar🤦🏽
