For me, I think that the only abilities with having on defense are the DT stack (Double or nothing, el toro, BOGO), and then this year they made it way harder to get user picks so I would use pick artist on anybody I could.
For offense, I use Spincycle on big players, and all my other AP on my QB(conductor, gunslinger), and then Idetifier on my OL
This year, abilities seem to just be terrible on defense

What exactly does conductor do? I've never used it, nor have i mastered custom stem yet. I feel like im missing out

It lets you do Hot Routes more quickly. Definitely a must if you call a lot of hot routes in the game.
For now, I am just saving my training and using whatever baked on/free abilities a player may have. It is way too early to waste coin on this and the game is still fun as is.
