I just had my most demoralizing loss in a long time

In ranked mode...got matched up against a team of all Season players, plus a few 84/85/86 OVRs

Every play in defense...6-1 blitz with the user trying to cover the RB.

I use identifier, to I started throwing outside slants to the RB, they refused to adjust, so I scored on every position...except in the 2nd half...my Saquan ran right into the Dline, took an awful angle, coudlnt get ouside, I got sacked and fumbled.

So normally 1 turn over wouldnt be bad..

But I could not get a stop on defense...

They came out in 5 wide every time...3 streaks outside, 2 inside crosses.

My Fred Warner and Pat Tillman could not cover anyone on a single cross.

My (4) DoNs got NO PRESSURE

I coudlnt get one stop.  They would win jump balls, contested catches...there would some plays where my DBs would be ready for an easy interception and JUST FREEZE, and not follow their zone adjustments to undershade or only drop 20 yards

It was like I was playing on Deluxe Super Hard All madden.

87 Speed WRs would even occasionly outrun my 90 Speed DBS on streaks

I tried zone, man, press, overshade, undershade, usering the sub LBs - but despite having higher speed, my users could not keep up with slower players on crossers

.

I wouldnt me mad if I lost to someone good, who made adjustments, made good reads and just played better etc

But this person blindly threw streaks and crossers into coverage and got bailed out>>>EVERY SINGLE TIME

Then the next game I play against a much higher OVR team...I am back to getting sacks and my DBs making plays

So frustrating how inconsistent this game is

It’s what happens when you go against a low OVR team. EA thinks they’re struggling, so they make sure that everything goes their way.

I see this type of post every couple days, where everything goes the opponent’s way.

What you have to do is move on. Madden may be rage-inducing, but it’s not worth getting mad over too much. Especially when it’s coded by 6 orangutans in the Amazon rainforest.

I did win my next game against an equal OVR team

But if Madden is going to reward these low overall teams...they wont have any incentive to upgrade

.

Madden should allow low OVR teams to get hammered, so they are motivated to upgrade

.

Instead they screw over the high OVR teams who put in time and effort to upgrade

Kudos to you for having the patience and wherewithal to go through such a frustrating experience and still have the patience to regurgitate it all in this novel.. Shows a real maturity in handling adversity.
