The Crystal step up offer is actually a good deal

This is probably an unpopular opinion but if u just do the math it's a good deal. You pay about 250. On average getting close to 100k for 10 bucks spent is what you should aim for as a minimum. I buy only the packs where 100k is close to the minimum you will get like the platinum step up offer. Bundles give less on average. When you pull a ltd you got lucky but on average it's less on most bundles. Stay away from those.

So this step offer will give you probably 3.5mil minimum overall. If you wait a few days the crystal players will rise a bit and when you just get a little bit of of luck with the other packs you could probably get 5mil or more out of this. I will wait and see on the prices of the three players and when they are combined above 3mil I get the step up offer.

I just don't think these cards will be a mil+ since they don't offer the holy speed boosts.

I just don't like they way EA did it. Call me a conspiracy theorist but I feel like they intentional brought down the Auction House so you would pay for Gibbs with cash then MUT coins.

The “average monthly car payment in the US was $749 for a new car and $529 for a used car in the second quarter of 2025, according to Bankrate's analysis of Experian data.“

I have never paid that kind of money for a car in my life. Up until a few years ago - I always just bought fairly crappy cars outright with cash. I needed a more dependable car and upped my game a bit, but nothing like that. So - really the crystal offer is either 1/3 (new car) or 1/2 of used car monthly payment of the average person.

If you are measuring the number of coins per $ spent, you are right that the crystal step-up offers payout a good amount. Whether the real money spent was worth it is a personal judgement. As the old saying goes, "Time = money." For some people, $250 is way less important than the time they would have to spend playing the game or the AH to make an equivalent number of coins. That is why there are such different perspectives in this forum about being NMS vs AMS. This is one of my more enjoyable "hobbies", so I spend some time and some money in line with that. I respect others who see it differently, too.

I just bought a 2025 in June and my payment is half that.

Exactly. When I was younger I grinded a lot for coins but I just don't have the time anymore. Most month I pay 100 max on Madden which in my opinion is not an absurd amount for a hobby. I enjoy team building more than the actual gameplay anyways. I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't party. I love spending time with my family and the occasional madden madness when everybody is asleep. That's just how I roll fellas. Livin the life.

Right! It's crazy bro - I'm in Georgia and it seems like everyone is driving a nice truck and those things go for like 80k.

Well, when you live in your aunt's basement (after being kicked out of your own mother's home for being a worthless good-for-nothing) and work seasonally (hungry season), you can sock away money for MUT pretty quickly.

I agree with this assessment, but I wish I lived in your local economy.

I own three ordinary vehicles, all purchased new years ago, and owe nothing on any of them. If I completely dump the amortized monthly purchase cost on each of them as a past expense, and even if I disregard the practicality of socking away money specifically to cover their eventual replacement, I still pay more than $250 for each for fuel, full insurance coverage included collision and comprehensive, and amortized maintenance and repair. It's probably closer to $350.

But you're forgetting: Some of these MUT players can't even qualify to receive a driver's license.
