MUT Top 100 Player offering advice on how you can play if you have a blessed Clint account

For a poorly developed, cash grab, arcade style game some people take this WAY too seriously.  It's all animation to animation based, and some people are slightly better at manipulating the animations and AI better than others.  That's it.  No one is really "good" at football around here.  We all just wing it every year depending on what kind of garbage EA decides to put out.

Yea that's why you see the same guys in MCS tourney every year, cause it's all just random animations and AI generated games. When I play top 100 players there's a MASSIVE gap in skill from the other tiers I play against. Also as a developer I can tell you that Madden is algorithm based, including the animations themselves. Everything from Agg catches, to being Juked is based on a ratings algorithm that compiles certain ratings and weights them for each action/animation. It’s why team building for your scheme is so important. And because they use tier ratings for non physical attributes it’s very difficult to reverse engineer. That’s why they’ve made sure to not let out anything about their tiers for the past 2-3 years.

You'll see I said that there are some who are better than most at manipulating the animations and AI.  Those are the people in the tourneys and they admittedly spend most of their waking hours working at it.  To each their own.

No feelings were hurt in the making of this production.

True, there are certainly algorithms to determine animation outcomes.  It's not all completely random.  

I'd highly recommend to anyone who hasn't yet watched the Ian Cummings (former Madden Director) interview on youtube to do so.  It made an incredible amount of sense to why one might feel like you are in animation leading to animation gameplay, with these very short windows of user input.  Let alone the AI which has zero input and is also in constant animations..  It is those types of mechanics that some people are really good at taking advantage of better than others, and which have have nothing to do with "real football".

I'm all about getting to realistic football as much as possible, but I will say that EA has created a counter animation/action for any other animation/action if the player knows what they are doing. It's why there's shading, predicting, and adjustments now. It used to be just shading which made things WAY worse. I really think they have made some great improvements last few years. The one thing that makes it completely unrealistic though is flipping plays, and hot routing. It makes every competitive game of madden feel like a game of madden, not football, which even EA will admit, that's not what they want for theri product. I do think with the improvement of AI, we're going to see it start to get WAY closer to real football in the next couple years. As AI improves, the algorithms can become more comoplex which will allow things to be more free flowing on non user players and less locked into different groups of animations. To me, winning isn't determined by just taking advantage of animations, offensively it's about keeping your opponent off balance in your play selection, and defensively to create pressure (limit time to go through reads) and adjust through the game to take away your opponents main reads (they usually like to go to a certain player or area of the field). When you talk about it like that, it does sound like real football scheming. There's a point to what you're saying, but I've been trying to tell people that this year, I'm being rewarded huge for trying to play real football, I highly suggest people start trying it over the bunch, trips, hot routes, mid blitz, meta crap they've been doing, you might find out like me that you start beating all othat shit with ease.

You seem to have time to play it, what’s your excuse, I’ve done more on Madden than you have and more people know who I am than you too, and I seem to put about 80% less time and effort in.

It also helps when the game favors you, your players play to their ratings, and all the 50/50 stuffs is actually 80/20 for you.

So the players playing to their ratings is favoring people? You're complaints are literally that you want all teams to be even, have to run the exact same type of scheme, all so what? you can have a chance of winning? You're version of madden sounds lame af lol
