If you think EA has been shaking down MUT players harder each year, wait until an investment consortium takes control.
Couldn't agree less with you. I think this is good news. Nothing worse than these companies being slaves to shareholders and having to meet quarterly objectives no matter the cost to consumers.

I totally forgot the pressure on employees to hit or exceed their marks. They can't afford to give a crap. Hit the mark or be fired. Maybe things improve

My thoughts exactly

Holy hell, as consumers we should have some serious concerns about Riyadh assuming ownership of basically anything, but especially our once great and beloved franchise(s). I don't want to make this hyper political, but these are the fuckers that brought down the World Trade Center towers less than twenty-five years ago and they continue to this very day to execute journalists and basically anyone who speaks out against the government. We have plenty of our own issues here at home, but this is bad for business. BAD.

This is NOT to be celebrated, my goodness. I fully grasp if you want to hold out hope, but is LIV Golf tournament meaningfully superior to the PGA Tour? What you just described above (companies being slaves to shareholders/markets) is essentially just "capitalism" -- i don't liek it anymore than the next guy, but the way we have organized our society essentially demands infinite growth, from finite resources. That simply is not sustainable, as we're all slowly discovering. Numba must go up.
Now the Saudi's could (or will) have actual slaves, as opposed to those of us who are merely wage-slaves. There is a distinct difference. I might get fired, but hopefully i'm able to at least retain my head attached to my body. So, in short, yes... there are plenty of things worse than being a corporate drone. For example, the Jamal Khashoggi situation is way, way worse...

Not when the private owners are Saudi Arabia and Jared Kushner
