For some reason abilities don't show up in challenges. They do in other game modes. Anybody know how to fix this?
That's new this year, we don't get abilities in challenges. Most likely in a way to increase difficulty.

Ok thanks. I just started this we. That's wild. Challenges are gonna be rough once players get speed in the high 90s without ple

Wow!
That's actually awesome.
That was one of the items on my Wishlist.

That's news to me! Do abilities work in solo seasons?

Why do you want that. You could simply turn them off. When players get faster it's gonna be rough without ple on those epic challenges

I completely understand what you're saying, but Madden is supposed to be a true simulation of NFL Football, so I never liked Abilities and X-Factors in the first place.
EA uses abilities to mask gameplay issues that they should be fixing.
We've gotten so used to abilities, that we forgot they're not supposed to be part of a simulation style game.
NFL gave EA exclusive right to make NFL Simulation, not to make this fantasy version of the NFL.
If it was up to me, I'd do away with them altogether.

I basically agree but I'd rather have them kept out of h2h than challenges. Which is of course not gonna happen. That would be fun. But the epic challenge in the snow is a nightmare.

Madden is suppose to be a true simulation of NFL football? That’s funny. It’s never been a simulation and it never will be. The most popular game mode is literally called Ultimate Team.

Call it what you want, but these are the facts.
Since EA secured exclusive rights to the NFL license, its Madden NFL series has been the only game offering a full NFL simulation experience. This deal highlights some important aspects about simulation games:
No Other Authentic NFL Simulations: With no other companies allowed to make NFL-licensed games, EA effectively has a monopoly on authentic NFL simulation. Madden has been the sole outlet for players who want to experience a true-to-life NFL experience with actual teams, stadiums, players, and real-world physics.
Standardization of Simulation: EA’s Madden series is the only official simulation of NFL football on the market, so it sets the bar for what players expect in terms of how the sport is represented in digital form. This means Madden's definition of simulation becomes the industry standard, and any deviation from this model would be a risk for EA, as fans of realism may expect the same level of fidelity year after year.
If EA doesn't make a True simulation game its because it can't.

Epic Challenge has been my favorite mode in MUT.
And I feel that it made me a better overall player by completing all the challenges in last years game.

Got the snow challenge with 5 stars. Just found a good bomb play that works blindly vs cpu which is what you have to do here basically. Played 4 challenges til the first snap fantasy pack. All golds. No thanks. The effort is nowhere near the rewards.

The reward is getting all the stars.
Come March, you've done everything and got everyone.
Rinse and repeat.
Epic Challenge is for those of us who enjoy a good challenge.
But I get it, it's not for everyone.

Wrong. The reward is a horrible snap pack. I did them every year and the rewards even last year were 10 times better than an all gold pack. I even did them back then when they were called epics and rivalz. U used to get players you could start. A gold pack as the highest reward is a joke.
And also the cpu cheats regularly. Not only do they make crazy catches and break almost every single player tackle. They also know what the challenge objectives are. I had one challenge were the cpu was down with a minute in the fourth but kept running cuz avoiding rush yards was an objective.
I rather get cheated and cheesed online than by the cpu cuz the rewards in h2h are way better.

I don't recall any of the rewards (packs/cards), I was satisfied by completing the difficult challenges.
That's all I'm saying.
Cheers :)
