Crystals.. Please explain

Hi I am new to this MUT and am a bit confused on this whole "Crystals".

I assume there will be a new crysal release every season, and what happens to the older release of crystals like Barkley, Suratin, Parsons? 

Trying to figure out if I should buy surtain now, or he will be pretty much useless in a month as there will be new crystals and another every month with higher ratings going forward. 

If the tier-2 boosts for crystals remain for the rest of the year, does that mean i keep surtain, barkley, and parsons for the rest of the year for a +1 spd?

There’s been no indication that Crystal boosts are set to expire, so it seems safe. 

Based on the leaks, the next Crystal set boosts stats the previous set does not (accel, offensive skill positions). 

So based on what we know, these boosts are here to stay.

There will probably be a new crystal release soon, as others already said. The current crystals (Surtain, Parsons, and Barkley) will never not be useful because of their +1 speed boost. Even when everyone’s a 99 overall, the crystals will still find value as backups. So yes, you keep the crystals for the whole year.
