As much of the field pass when its available or platinum packs. Anything else and your risking cash for coins.

Some of the level reward packs are good. I bought the level 45 2800 point bundle of 10 precision elite packs even though they arent the newer updated precision elite packs. Field pass is a must for 1500 points. Some daily deals are good

i remember when $50 got u a lot of packs and a guaranteed topper. a decade later ea says u get 4 cards and pack trash that has almost no value. i do enjoy building my team but i took the last 2 years off madden because the product hasnt been worth what you have to spend to have a comp ready team

Oh man...the toppers. I completely forgot about those. Another positive thing that got removed. You can't really build a comp team just by playing the game anymore. You either have to work the AH or spend $, and the AH route is getting drier and drier every year.

The only real difference is getting used to the EA rules and filters. You got this, dude. Often you'll find profitable sets. Pick 4 or 5 cards this week, add them to your watch list and track how their prices move: https://www.mut.gg/price-tracker/
Certain sets will become profitable. That's the real magic trick, or secret sauce. Identifying which theme teams are most popular and leveraging that info to profit. It does require time, but Remote Play works wonders... great for auction house, for us work from home types.
The redux packs were def a solid option. I avoid taking chances if im going to spend money. And yes 10$ should pull at least 100k or it's not worth it. I usually rip a 20$ pack once a month but that's about it.
Platinum packs and the field pass is the way to go. But even all the platinum packs arent worth it i try and take advantage of the platinum step packs when theyre available
