This is getting sad i remember in madden 22-23-24 content wasnt bad i actually felt like there was things to do. Now they are like CUT... log on and theres 3 new cards that are overpriced something needs to change bring back Mut Masters or make field passes better.
So I'm not gonna disagree with you here. I ALWAYS want more programming/players than we currently have. That said, I think it's an overstatement to say we had more programming in 22-23-24-25 than we have had so far this year. In M26, we started a full week ahead of last year, and the Pregame Access program was legit instead of just a smattering of cards. In addition, each program has had a House Rules event - both H2H and CPU - which we've never had in both forms and consistently.
I also won't get too fired up about the "1.5/2.5" mini-releases that aren't accompanied with additional programming. It fills the weeks better than historically, where it felt like there was nothing between Legends and Wednesday TOTW.
Where I agree with you more is that the "interprogram grind" experience has been lost since the MUT Master concept disappeared. The Season Passes - which I like! - create player engagement stickiness on a daily perspective, but they don't reward "the grind". Now, not everyone likes "the grind." I'd like the "weeklies" stat categories to be expanded and more rewarding, so I'm benefitting from playing more.
Agree, they need way more players. We're just about at season 2 and there still isn't a single Sam player for either the Ravens or eagles. Yea.... I know we can spend 500 training to make our wil a Sam. But WTF. Stupid!!! Yes, we are getting free cards... But nothing sparks interest. Boring...... Outside the game time players, everything else has been pretty lame.
agreed, they need a fire promo. Legends content has been garbage.
TOTW is a nice weekly program but it would be great if they would bring back Football Outsiders (or something similar) where a 3rd party picks the cards for a weekly release. It produced variety and was a way to upgrade players that made contributions to their teams but were outside the scope of EA's design and tendency to focus on the "pack seller" content.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, following the NFL weekly player awards would also be a way that ties the game to actual league activity - who wouldn't want and offense, defense and special teams player from each conference every week? They could even be "one-offs" that aren't included in the pre-planned player progression which would make them unique.
Just a couple of ideas to get more active NFL players in the game and tie it into what is happening the NFL
This guy is right .. on both CUT &MUT there is absolutely nothing to do .. what happened to Journeys? that took months... What happened to full seasons like on m13 where you would get a full key card as a reward... Also day one you could pull 99 overall cards .. there is nothing to do in both games. They are bleeding us slowly with nickel and dime challenges .. like really we wait all week for fantasy cards. And you only gives us 3 challenges with no card reward?... Ea your embarrassing... If there was something to do I might spend some real coin. But this is pathetic. It's a good almost great game.. don't ruin it with your greed... We want the ea guy back that retired for mut... This bum at the helm can kiss it...hope your 12 battery's go dead in your ev...
well probably get that lame gridiron guardian promo that requires spend to get the boost faster
loaded week of content per the schedule.

The Dailies mechanic exists in games like MUT because they address the engagement problem that can kill a title if people only played games when it was convenient for them: Dailies compel engagement. The ethics of this are clearly questionable, but entertainment companies aren’t in the business of making people more productive or more altruistic.
I do wish that Dailies and Weeklies were integrated and weighted in such a way that you didn’t have to sacrifice so much by missing consecutive days, but could still effectively support EA’s server population goals. When a program around the holidays rewards you with something really useful only when you are active on the servers for multiple consecutive days, it indirectly attacks family time, and that’s not good.

Good day
I do kind of agree with the OP , kinda does feel a little bit stale, being that the NFL season has just started and there’s just been two electrifying weeks of football on TV and that excitement isn’t feeling the same in madden playing the game don’t get me wrong. It is fun. I just wish that there was more players in the game and something exciting, what that could be again I don’t know.
Just seems like if there’s one or two good cards then everyone has that card on their team. I wish there was 5 to 10 great cards. I don’t like the fact that there’s one or two special cards and then everyone goes after that and the teams look so similar also, I don’t even have a FB on my team yet because there isn’t any.

i see season 2 and maybe unstoppables... this is the most ¨content¨ we have got btw
actual programs are few and far between. Usually MF is the first one. Then Christmas. Easter. Playoffs. Theyll sprinkle some here and there but theres not many. Mostly its card drops.
Crazy idea. Make every player a 75 and you can upgrade anyone you want to 86. Then 87. Then 88. It's really not that hard. Upgrade with coins or training too. No reason I can't have a good rome card until maybe he gets a totw
