Hey guys I don't want to take up too much of yall's time, but what is the best way to make 1mil coins in mut? Currently I have an 80 overall and only 53k coins, if anyone could help or give some tips I would greatly appreciate it.
Think of it in terms of do's and don'ts:
DO:
- Dailies and weekly objectives
- Open the daily one coin packs
- play anything free (solos, h2h, weekly spotlight stuff, promo field pass, etc)
- Take advantage of predictable market trends and flip cards for a profit on the AH (like legends being cheaper on Saturday for example due to new legend releases)
DON'T:
- Buy cards the first day they're out
- Open any packs with coins (outside of the 1 coin packs)
- Spend a ton of coin to upgrade your whole squad at once when better cards will be out in a week
That's all I can think of right now, but if you do these steps I can promise you in a couple weeks you'll be a MUT millionaire in no time haha!
@CTOUGH23 gives great advice. “Middle Income MUT” (what you might call perpetually holding a coin balance between 500k - 3m coins) occurs by playing everyday and demonstrating discipline. Only use coins to make coins - and the two ways to make coins are to sell cards higher than you bought them or to win games you wouldn’t have won without them. In reality, there are fewer cards you NEED to win games that you would have lost without them. The other reason to play everyday is that it increases your chance to experience a lucky event (low AH price on a card you can flip, great pack pull, and strong gameplay streak) that can accelerate coin growth.
@jsmiller2003 and @CTOUGH23 appreciate that guys.
Keep an eye on the market. Mon-wed prices are usually low. Prices go up on the weekend because everyone is playing on the weekends and needs to buy their team back haha

I bought all the redux players last week for around 300k each. Sold most over 550k this weekend. Some like Quincy Williams I paid 311k someone wanted him so bad they paid 695k. It was nuts

Fair point @timsennett . This week is a unique one, in that 1) the Collector's Series final release - and the special program that's ending it - might drive up the market for those cards (and then crash them once those who build the sets and resell the base cards start to recycle them); and 2) the end of S1/launch of S2 tends to create a lot more coins than new cards, due to the intro of the S2 season pass. We haven't heard ANYTHING from Mutleaks about the initial S2 programs, so stay tuned there as well today.

What is it about a new season beginning that creates more coins than new cards do?

Launch of the S2 Season Pass - especially for those who buy the Premium Pass - provides coin grants for easy level advancement. Lots of players completed the S1 season pass a number of weeks ago, and with many players "settling into" their Ranked level (because they can't achieve Top 100), AND with the second week of Game Time that isn't coin generous (compared to, say, the Preseason Standouts HR program was), coins weren't being minted via core methods (points buyers are a different animal).
We won't get a new S2 card program (other than the S2 players that are upgradable via S2 season tickets) until Thursday. TOTW will give us the same number of new cards that a standard TOTW release will, though it'll likely include a +1 OVR bump. These are hypotheses, not guarantees, of course!
Thank you for the explanation! Makes sense. Outside of other factors, new season field pass should increase supply of coins.
