Do we have to use the spotlight light tokens before season 2 starts?

I’ve been wondering the exact same thing as well. I have 28-29 left or whatever it may be and It’s been the main thing on my mind with season 2 coming. The thing that gets my mind a little worried is how the weekly spotlight is also a side program. I know it means a new one will release with each main season program but idk how EA will do it. They could make it a new color weekly spotlight token for future BND sets or maybe they’ll just allow us to use what we have on sets available from season 1. With EA, everything is confusing as there’s zero communication and they do whatever they feel like haha. Fingers crossed as I don’t want to use the tokens I have left but if I have to I’ll grab RG Evans.

Yeah hopefully we get to keep them, I haven't used a single one yet. Been waiting for Calvin to come out.

I haven't used any yet either. I think I have between 80-90 right now.

At the very least we should get some type of info during the s2 reveal stream and then still have time to use them before s2 officially kicks off this week at least. I also haven't used any because if they are just going to keep carrying over i'll wait until someone that fits my Bears TT drops. As it is you can only use the sets twice too so I'm thinking they will either add new sets or those will reset every season or something, really can't imagine you can only get 2 legends all year with tokens.

The way I see it, the value of the tokens stays the same. We got champion players in season 1, and we're going to get more champions in season 2.

EA wants us to keep playing, right? So, if the tokens didn't carry over, people would probably quit near the end of the season if they knew they couldn't get enough. Ea loves that player engagement stat.

Yes, all the spotlight tokens will carry over season to season.

The TOTY set takes the same tokens.

It is your discretion of when and how to use them.

I have 48 remaining after redeeming 25 for Polamao.

True. I agree with all of your posts tbh. I think it’s just the semi-PTSD many of us get from the last decade+ about something going wrong haha. And yeah I only have around 30 tokens now as a few TT players were there for tokens but if there was a chance to lose 80+ like some of you have I’d be way more nervous about it haha. I agree though it would make no sense for them to remove the sets they’re used for or even make them dud quick sells. They’d at least keep those sets available. As some mentioned, many things carry over into the next season like tickets and whatnot so we should be good. Made me feel better about it. And at worst we find out about in the S2 reveal stream like some have said. Nice having a pleasant convo on here haha. Puts it into perspective. Thanks all. 🤘🏼💯🤘🏼
