Does anyone have details on when this new years companion mobile app will drop?
I’ve been asking EA every possible way - forums, streams, social…as have many others for over a month. They are ignoring it… weird to have zero communication as we head into season 2.
is it useful? i never really bothered with it.

Yes. For those who like to do AH transactions on the go.

The app is crucial to being a successful trader if you can't be in front of your console all day.
Could easily see EA not bringing it back. Pack offers have been getting progressively more expensive and they seem to be tuning the auction house bots to be more aggressive with bans. I would guess that 99% of people using the comp app regularly are market flippers which EA sees as damaging to pack sales. So the logical progression would be to discontinue it. Very few people will quit the game because there’s no app so there’s probably no upside to EA for devoting resources to it.
Would also point out that they haven’t even bothered to make an app for CFB26 (which would be pretty easy to adapt from the Madden app I would think) so you can see where this is going.

Exactly. That’s the main benefit, and it’s big. What little time I have on console each day, I spend most of it in AH instead of playing. (I play offline.) With the app, AH moves can be made while away from the console, and being on console can be for playing games.
I needed the app when my internet went down for the third time in two weeks! I keep missing deep troughs on buys and huge peaks on sells because I don't have the app.
If they haven't brought it back now, they wont. I highly doubt after selling the company their priorities include the Madden Companion app.
I understand the complaints with the app. That said the companion app and being able to stay connected with Madden on the go in this manner has been a huge appeal for myself. It was also key to putting in a custom bid on a card VS up bidding in small increments only.
Would be a loss for some.

Absolutely. Without it, the little time I get to be on console each day I’m doing AH transactions, mostly, instead of playing. The app is important, to get to use time on console to actually play games.
People who can be on console for hours a day, and at all different times of the day, don’t need the app as much as the rest of us.
Hope they get rid of this app for good
.
Its mainly used by coin sellers to ruin the auction house
.
It allows BOTS to dominate the auction house getting all the snipes
.
This is the first year us casuals can actually win a few snipes
