I started this MUT season a bit naive. I’ll spend money, like REALLY spend money on the game, and enjoy the full experience. I wont be a budget player, who I want, I’ll buy. Before August ended I had spent around $1800.

Before people start talking about my personal decisions, I spent the better part of 2024 living with about half of my income and saved / invested a lot of money. My investments 4xed. I had (still have) money in excess. Its besides the point.

Anyways I had a lot of coins. And I also wanted to have fun while winning alot. So I made 4 TTs but only one of them at a time would have expensive players. I sold and bought a lot of players based off of the current market prices at the time of transaction. This somehow triggered a “ban” where EA took all of my coins. I have sent 4 separate appeals all being denied while EA says they WONT explain their actions against my account. Almost like a “trust me bro, you’re guilty” sentiment in their response emails.

At the end of the day, every transaction was based off of the sell now price at the time. I had ZERO activity with a 3rd party to obtain my coins. In a way, EA literally stole from me. Flat out. I am actually considering legal action (similar to what Slayin on YT is doing) because this was foul.

So, hopefully this serves as a precautionary tale for others that want to freely spend their coins.

**if anyone has experience successfully overturning wrongful bans please comment because I’m willing to go the extra mile to resolve this** thanks.

Thanks man. As a genuine procrastinator I really want to be easy going about this, but off of principle and how unjust the situation is, I feel ilike off of principle alone I need to take this to the next level of escalation. Which sucks because its more time and money.

My supervisor at work purchased a Steam gift card through Best Buy as they were having a sale. Come to find out Best Buy gave him a code that wasn't even for the United States, but for Europe. Mind you we both work in customer service. They had some dialogue, attempts to troubleshoot the fix. Long story short, Best Buy will not refund him the $30 and said they gave him the correct code and have cut off all conversations with him now.

I can only suspect that there is some sort of algorithm that triggers at a large number of AH moves...even if those moves are within current pricing.  You would think a company as large as EA could come up with something a little better than this.  I'm confident they (EA) know exactly how much money you have spent (I'll even bet they have a record (or could have if they put their mind to it) of every card you have bought and sold with that money you spent)...it would seem a quick look at the electronic record would show how much you spent and the pattern of your selling (TT and selling at going rate) which should have cleared everything up.  Based on how much you have spent EA should have done this behind the scenes so you never even knew the algorithm flagged you and they were looking at your AH history. The AH seems to almost always be the common issue...they encourage you to build sets, but if you buy and/or sell to much (work the AH that they put in the game) folks get hit.  Long way of me saying...sorry this happened to you and I hope you get fixed...I respect your positive attitude and hope everything works out.

Completely agree with your comment. And thanks for the empathy fr. I do think something kind of stinks when it comes to my situation. Their response and how there should be data available to clear my account, something doesnt add up properly.

I agree with this, your account probably gets flagged after a certain point. Probably assuming you did something against the TOS to get coins. Bro, respectfully if you're not training for tournaments or already in the top percentage in H2H, why give EA all that money? Cut what you spend in half and treat yourself to something else. I may be out of line, but i haven't spent a dime since launch, and now that I'm learning the defense and a new playbook, earning everything i get is satisfying. Now come holiday deal time, i probably will spend. But i dunno bro

Good day

I found out a year ago when I   as I was buying and selling cards off the auction house that was  no way to look and go back and see, weeks or months back of purchases and sales which is definitely not right when EA is advertising a market place that is very popular and much needed to anyone that doesn’t have the time to go through challenges and solos to build a team

so I would definitely recommend to people that are spending money on this game to record their auction activity, especially when doing a large amount of back-and-forth transactions

No its a fair question. Actually, a very smart insight on your behalf.

I am trying to see how far I can make it in terms of comp Madden. It is 10000% the reason why I financially invested into this game. I always place in the top 100 and ive beaten or barely lost to MCS pros. Because I have so much time in this game (over 20 years), I figured hey, why not actually try ? Just put my all into the process and just see how far i get. I am currently (probably fell a bit in rankings) on the top 100 ranked leaderboards, been as high as 51 (3 days ago).

I even got a huddle.gg subscription (worth it fr. If it wasnt for the fact my scheme and level of play was high idk if I could have recovered from this ban) and a laptop to stream games for playback.

Thanks for the heads up. Im still torn on what my next move is. What EA did was blatantly foul but also taking legal action is something im unused to doing. Just mulling over it all.

The crazy part is the night before I almost freakin did it. Because I was hearing reduxes might crash the price. But I need a competitive squad at all times, and at the time I had a nice team with 8.2 mil, I decided to keep the crystals. Thank God fr. I couldnt imagine I sold those cards, got like 5 mil then EA takes all 13 mil overnight.

I am an attorney.

It’s their terms of service that will control any filing. I have not read yet this year but in past years there has been terms highly favorable to EA and mandatory arbitration.

Happy to look at them if someone cares to post and share my thoughts. Class action would be the best.
