Archived vs expired programs

How is an archived program different from the expired program (i.e., The Preseason program archives on Sept. 17th and expires on Oct. 22nd at 1:30pm ET.)?

I think its like when its archived its still technically active its just not featured you can still earn the rewards but when it expires you can't get any more of the reward

Thanks. In other words, you have to search for it in the Field Pass screen, but otherwise it’s the same, the objectives and rewards can still be met?

I believe so yeah, thats how its worked in previous games im pre sure at least
