When I first got into MUT. Richard Sherman cover Madden 13 I believe. I had all the time in the world. No kids or mortgage. I made BANK from challenges, market swings/crashes/glitches. Buying ltd players and selling back when prices shoot up. That actually still works. Happened this morning with Michael Bennett. Was 1.1M mil at launch then went up to 1.7M in no time.

Just "being on the game" all the time also gives you invaluable knowledge that you can't get unless your putting in the hours. If you dont fall in love with players and follow market trends.

So yes this is doable but extremely circumstantial. I highly doubt the guy you were playing was true "NMS" but it def is possible.

I mean its a video game. People name their teams whatever they want. If you see nms and you want to believe it then put that Clown paint on that you gave Jerry.

Literally pulled 88 Michael Bennett from a 75+ boom or bust. Never pulled an LTD in my 7 years of playing MUT. The card lowkey sucks so I'm selling it for 1.65M (anyone who pays that is insane) and boom, I'll have a top team in MUT after only 3-4 days of playing it and grinding a handful of challenges. With a stroke of insane luck you'll have a top team, with a little bit of grinding, NMS is very do-able with a decent team

Truth. I work from home and only actually work an hour or two a day but I need to be available most of the day. I have 4 screens with different things in and just flip around. My fav game ever is prob what I play the most, empire earth, the og game. Still has a neo ee lobby. But I usually have a twitch stream going with Madden and I'll flip through auction sporadically. I probably only play 5-10 games a week in h2h I probably log 12 hours per day of the game being on my console.

Sadly you won't have a top team in mut without the crystal.players and a 50/50 strategy

Possible without spending a level of time that could buy 10s of thousands of mut points a week working at mcodnalds? no.

I could care less if it’s true or not. Was just curious how much could be made without spending in general. Jerry’s turned us all into clowns, bro. I’m about to have grandkids in the time between ‘96 and our next one. 🤦🏻‍♂️ unbelievable realization.

At a certain point i'm happy to just plunk down twenty (or fifty) bucks to get the player/card i want and not have to stress or think about it again. Things get a bit easier once there is a MUT Companion App, but unless/until we see that land in the various app stores, well... different strokes for different folks. I got a little carried away last season, finished the year with 10 or 15 million coins i was never able to give away, once all my friends completed their Rookie Premier sets. The prior year i think i benefitted from the Easter Egg promo glitch, so i didn't have to worry about funding my roster from April til August. Those are pretty rare, but not unheard of -- although it typically requires some type of unemployment to be able to time things properly.

I've found that "NMS" is a badge of courage, left-over from a prior era where online gamers actually cared about their reputation and such. These days, screen names are as disposable as the digital versions of the games that we "own" uff. Wish i had something a bit more constructive to add to the conversation, but i don't place much stock in diddly squat these days. These are not wholly dissimilar from the players repping their area code, with whatever three-digit code. In the modern era we tell our child to NOT reveal any personal information. I'd scold my son if he were posting even his area code on teh internets.
