Can team captains be any good without theme team

Got rid of my theme team and as I'm rebuilding I was reminded of team captain players.

They can be solid, I guess. Mack is still a more than serviceable center. Olsen would be a solid TE or FB. Same with Geno at DT. Talib still gets 85 speed, which is just okay now. Same with Crabtree and his 84 speed. Hawk would be more of a depth linebacker with only 82 speed - might start for some. 

If nothing else, they could be solid depth.

Olsen is good, i have him maxed and Talib as far I can but they will be very outdated soon if we dont get anymore tokens.

You will get tokens every now and then as the year goes on. Captains can be upgraded to 99 ovr.

it only takes like 10-20 k to make a garbage theme team out of backups for times like this use someone mid like the falcons that way you still get the boosts for your seasons cards too

Sarcasm? The Falcons are literally tied for the best TT, currently at an 83 w/o Season players, Team Captains, etc.

Olsen at FB. You genius. I don’t use a FB but was trying to think of who I could stick there for chem.

Ha, thanks. Honestly, most, if not all, 80+ TEs now get FB as a secondary position.

I'm kinda surprised they started so low ovr. especially when we've been getting free cards that are a lot better. I think having them start at 86 would have been better, by the time they upgrade to 85, they'll be super obsolete

Oh I know, but my issue in my Saints TT is that’s Jeremy Shockey lol. I’m not paying for Burton. I’d forgotten about Olsen.

Got it. Well, glad I could help. I'm using Olsen at FB myself, along with Hairston, to get my Browns TT to 55/60 for that extra accel.
