The Sam should be the right outside linebacker and the Will should be the left outside linebacker. How come EA can’t get the most basic football knowledge right? Also why do I have to try and switch to user my player I want before every play? I don’t get it. Sorry to say but this will be my last year of Madden. I’ve personally have had enough.

I made an account here just to let you know you know you are dead ass wrong. Mike=middle sam=strong(side) and will= weak(side), they lineup based on the offense,

You are completely wrong. The SAM and WILL are based on how the offense lines up. They aren’t assigned a specific side and have to stay there like it is peewee football lol

Sam = Strong Side Linebacker
Will = Weak Side Linebacker
These two positions are based solely on the offensive formation. The Sam will align to the strength, where the Will be backside.

This isn't accurate, at least with respect to how Madden works. This is exactly what teams do in real life, but it's not how Madden is coded.
The WILL is the linebacker that lines up on the left side of the formation, and the SAM is the linebacker that lines up on the right side of the formation. They literally just changed the position names from ROLB and LOLB without actually changing the underlying code that determines where they line up against formations.
I just confirmed this in practice mode. You can run any 4-3 defensive over/under front on defense, then pick an offensive play where the strong side of the left side. The defensive alignment will then flip the formation, but it won't flip the personnel, therefore your WILL will be over the TE while your SAM is playing off the ball on the weakside, essentially becoming the WILL in the formation.
It's just bad/lazy coding by EA.
