It's impossible to throw with anticipation when guys aren't running where they are supposed to. Am I restricted to throwing only to guys that are wide open because of dumb bugs?
Upgraded my qb and its less mind blogging overthrows and receivers making no attempt to catch

Except that it's not my quarterback throwing off target, or at least, he's throwing right to my guy. The problem is that, as drawn, the play art shows my receiver should be running through one area, but in practice, even without contact, he runs at times directly toward defenders. By throwing with anticipation before the break, I find that my receiver isn't breaking where and when he should. This of course results primarily in negative play outcomes.
that could be a players problem I would try upgrading a few people like wr and QB should help if not then it could be a game problem as Madden 26 just came out a little ago and might still have some bugs.

its not , even with the top wr's in the game currently, they run routes sooooooo slow, i have mcconkey with 92 mrr, and on with routes for example a 15 yard in, he gets to the top of his routes and takes forever to break inside, it drives me absolutely crazy, whats the point in high route running, if youre not gonna run the route better than someone with 70 route running

I feel like just a couple days ago my receivers were breaking well, and while they didn’t always run crisp routes, they didn’t end up in a completely different area than where they were supposed to be. The only time they were in the wrong place was when there was contact and traffic.
(In the NFL, a receiver facing that scenario is going to run his route in principle, but he’ll run toward a coverage gap against zone, and not run directly towards a safety except to force the safety to choose between inside/outside or underneath/over the top. Of course, these scenarios are practiced, but in Madden, there is no such thing as rapport. Every down plays as if history never existed, and each player is playing the first live snap of his life.)
Now it seems my receivers lag on breaks, sometimes very badly, as if they’re 340-pound defensive tackles trying to run agility drills.
I’ll caveat this by saying I haven’t played H2H since the patch so maybe that has affected it, but all plays aren’t equal in my experience. Some plays for example drags just release quicker than others. Some plays routes run better. So while it should be the same it’s not. I’d suggest experimenting with some different plays.
Personally apart from the odd route, my players run their routes just fine and my QB rarely over throws - but I use classic passing as I find that more accurate.

yupp, but since the game came out ive felt no difference in route running, somone with bad route running is gonna run the route just as good, its infuriating
