what's your approach regarding your coin stack and building your team ?

I know it's just a game and virtual currency,  but for example I build a 2M team few days ago and now it's worth like 800k... I lost like 1.2M  value only in 24h. (honestly random numbers but you get the picture)

like today a new 86 champion come out at 500k, do you wait a couple days or more before buying him ? 

I know most important is having fun, and I meanly think that way, but is there a kind of strategy to not lost to much value through each promo.

since I don't always play online, maybe buy my team when I know I will be playing a few days in a row then sell and repeat ? 

I think I have a good understanding of ultimate mode in general but I'm always confused regarding what should I do to minimize the value of my team and what's the point of hoarding millions coins anyway 

 feel free to talk about what you're approach through the year.  (for context I play daily until Superbowl in general then switch to MLB and come back for the rookie premier and I always have like 10M anyway by then, cause I like to work the market also !) 

I guess I'm little to stressed and overthinking about virtual coins lol

Here is what I do...If not playing H2H I just roll with cheapest and free (BND) cards and stack coin...as the game matures (around now) I start to make strategic upgrades...86s are now coming out...so my goal is to upgrade to 83s or 84s...and...I will only upgrade a card that is at least two above the card it is replacing...so...if I have an 82 in the lineup I would not likely replace this card unless something great comes along.  I get to a 20 TT as quick as possible (really easy to do with all the cards with all team chems).  If I decide I want to play online I may consider "renting" a couple high impact cards and then selling them once I'm done.  I have in the past tried buying in the morning, playing and selling again in the evening (repeat the next day) as well...this worked out well, but can be time consuming and also costly if I sink cost into upgrading (abilities) on the cards.  There is also no guarantee I will get the card back at a good price the next day and this does not fully protect from losses (market can do some strange things).  So for the most part...I only add cards that I like and that I feel are a significant upgrade...and...I think they can be on the roster for a good period of time (couple weeks at least).  If I can't find anything like this then I just play what I got.  I have tried in previous years to spend money and not time and stacked my team weekly with the highest cards possible...this resulted in me winning no more games than using a "budget" team.  The phrase "pay to win" does not really work well for me...I'm consistently a 50/50 player no matter how much time or money I spend...so now...I just play and enjoy the journey and the game will turn out the way it does.

I run a Saints TT, when a good player comes out I wait for the price to come down, for example, yesterday I picked up Lattimore for 420k. So at worst I lose 70k cos of his 350k quicksell. I just wait for the best players to drop a bit and only pick up cards that fit my theme team, don’t chase the overall.

I have most of the cards I want plus 3m coins and some cards like Lattimore I can quicksell.

Plus, your scheme is way more important than your players. You can win games with a good scheme and a weak team but not with a good team and weak scheme.

running a pats TT will buy revis and gonzales with the drop and play and save to have coin for Brady, Edleman, Gronk, Welker, Vrabel, Logan, Seabass etc.

I run a 25/50 chiefs team and the rest is bnd for the most part. I typicall  do this until most feared  drops and that when i will spend and play h2h. 

I still like to have fun with spending coins on packs and the auction house. To do this i have my own little house rule I guess. Once I hit a certain milestone with coins, that's my floor. For instance yesterday i had 2.4 mill and so i had 400k for fun. That way I dont say f it and waste the rest of my coins, but I can still gamble. Worked out on those bnd packs and also bought the dip. Will resell what I dont want this weekend.

Also I resell my higher ovr cards before a ovr increase happens. That way I dont lose that much value on my team and I can buy back or get new cards.

Like others here I am running a full Patriots theme team

I start the year with a couple of platinum bundles, quick sell a few cards for coins and buy all the base/core Patriots cards. then bank the remaining platinum cards for future use

As part of that process I sell off other core/base cards to help build the stack.

Then I just play vs the CPU with the focus on objectives/field pass progression - typically a couple games a day

As I play I bank any coin quicksell items also.  I have found that, if I keep my active coin stack around 1M, I'm less likely to impulse spend.

I have, in my mind, a value associated with certain cards and typically don't deviate.  Once my core team is built, I will wait for any new cards to hit that value

This approach has served me well for the past few years as my overall interest in gaming has declined.  It allows me to hit the ground running at launch, not chase cards, play casually throughout the year and have coins available when I need them

thx for all your advice!  I think I will just sell my team when I know a big promo is coming or a overall jump.  More if I know I won't play that much online the week/days before. cause like I said, sometimes I buy cards at high price and I barely have time to play online that week.  And it's all about timing cause sometimes cards crash and bounce back. I think I can navigate through this !

use every single bnd to your advantage but dont push it and use a lesser guy in a soit where you could spend 200k and be a whole tier above... shceme iver team most of the time. develop a theme team, use the promo theme teams to your advantage. find out who are must have guys ar certain positions and get thise players, they hold value better when actually useful and dont cost a whole lot (set cards!!)

that goes into point #2 set pieces. always CREATE the card you want it its close to release date. ex, i can create the new travus hunter for 480k, but people are paying 500k+ for him. be smart about it. 

another huge one, READ the markets!! weekends are SELL off days. saturdays, and nights too prices go higher. on the opposite spectrun, monday/tuesday when big leaks are out about future cards, go scoop up guys that are either piece sets to create the new cards you wants coming, OR buy some older cards that other people plan on replacing and fire-sell right as leaks come out. weekdays are time to BUY. 

ive followed those rules and i have the exact stacked team i want, and 3.5M stashed now in coins. NMS besides deluxe edition and the field pass premium
