Are people really buying the crystal full step up offer

If you did... you are what is wrong with this game. EA will never learn

Hey im one of the looney ones who bought the full step up offer. It is not something I would do regularly but given the fact that I spend comfortably 60-80 bucks a week on the game. Condensing that all to a little under 300 bucks in one week is substantial  no doubt, but can be accounted for. I made a stupendous amount of coins. Pulled tons of 85 ovr platinum cards, really good 84-85 core elites. All in all I ended up making my whole team better and the crystal cards will sit in my lineup providing boosts for the remainder of the year. And I now currently have a little under 4 million coins and that’s after I spent about 500-600k coins on lineman upgrades. I understand that from the outside it is really frustrating. But I have played mut for years and the way I see it, is I remember spending 100 bucks for a bundle on a card I really wanted in the past and got nothing. I got everything I wanted and more from the step up. I have no reason to go any further in any other step ups the remainder of the year because of the investment I made getting those three cards and the coin I have will keep my team up as well. I really understand how people could really hate that so many did it. But if you do plan on spending any type of money on this game. This step up was a serious opportunity that did in fact provide an advantage, which it should if you’re taking your money and putting it into the game. I genuinely enjoy this game and Im pretty decent at it too, I don’t believe if you’re not comfortably good at madden that you will benefit from the investment, but if you do like winning at the top level and do spend money. You would actually be a fool to spend 80-120 bucks a week over the next month. Than to see this step up and not get the pretty much guaranteed crazy amount of coins and cards. If I sold My crystal players I would have 10 mil for no reason.

So I didn’t buy it but bought the cards off the AH (with the 4600 starting points the sum total of my wallet spend). I’m a dyed in the wool Theme Team player (Go Pack Go) so the idea of getting three players at the best positions AND getting an extra SPD on the whole team is really unparalleled for MUT at this point of the season. It cost me 2.7M, but what would it have cost over the remainder of of Seasons 1 and 2 to accomplish this?  Plus, at Edge, RB, and CB, these players can stay on the roster through Christmas. So thanks to those who spent to make this happen for me (kidding!). It’s a lot of cash, but given how much cash is spent to build coins stacks in less sexy promos than Crystal, I can’t say it’s really that much different than the (sad) EA norm.

They should stay on your team until you don't need +1 speed.  So like basically end game.  I did the same.

Personaly i wouldnt spend 250$ even if there were 99 ovr cards at stake and 4-5 million coins but thats just me.

$250 is not the same for everyone
