Does anyone else think promos are way more lazier than they used to be? Promos have no themes anymore. Preseason standouts has nothing to do with preseason; it's just popular players they know people will buy packs for. Campus heroes will be the same way; it used to be unique players for each team that balled out in college ,but weren't the biggest names in the NFL. Nowadays, it's just popular players that will get people to buy packs. I get why they do it, but it's disappointing.

They have a TOTW strictly for preseason.
Cards for promos are selected weeks before promo launch. Mut leaks was showing pre season 2, last week. Other than Crystal promos have been fine.
EA has alot of flaws but this ain't it.

Everything that EA does is disappointing. It's all about high volume, low effort -- only us old goats seem to care about the actual game of fatball, modern society moves fast. Kids these days ain't got time (nor attention span) to care about the players or picture on the card, they just want the instant-gratification of ripping packs. Start em young, so they're ready to hit those gambling apps right at 18 years old... gotta train em up right, the EA way. Not to mention, being able to produce relevant promotions requires some actual knowledge of the NFL, something EA sorely lacks.
You could not be more correct, the entire game has become a masterclass on how to charge $100 annually for what amounts to a roster update and some tweaks to gameplay sliders. With a big enough marketing budget you can almost twist the language to make it seem as if it's a brand new game! /sigh
When will i ever learn?
