...has anyone noticed that when you kneel out, you occasionally double-dip on the time run off the clock? When you kneel, you see the time run off the game clock, and then you see the play clock start, while the time continues to run.

Yes in solos ive noticed it and happy it speeds up the final minute.
Lol. You are correct. Maybe 1 out of 20 know how to kneel. The others could be up by 3 scores and still calling time out.

I think this is a new feature they had added in college football where if the defense doesn't necessarily have enough timeouts to be able to stop you all 3 downs, then the game will just skip all the way down to 0 seconds. At least that is what I am noticing. Very nice. Wish more people (winners AND losers) would learn to kneel more often. But no, they would rather spend an extra 10 minutes on that last minute of game up/down by 21. lol

Why are you trying to kick a FG? I've only ever seen the game fly through those last 30-45 seconds on a kneel down when the game is mathematically over. Like you would kind of see in real life where the players start walking off the field with 48 seconds left type thing. So can't say that I've had it happen where I kneel trying to take time off the clock while behind and trying to kick a FG.

The whole purpose of kneeling the ball is to run the clock out.... this is one of the few things Madden got right true to life and you are complaining that it works as intended.

I had enough time to kneel and then kick, I also needed them not to get an opportunity to score. But as previously said, the game took away double time. Not that hard to understand bud.
yeah if the opponent is out of timeouts and you can run it down to 0:00 it will. new this year

To be fair (and knowing full well Madden doesn't give us this real-life tactic as an option), NFL teams kneel quite often prior to a game-winning field goal attempt. Most frequently, it is done to set up a kick to be made from between the hashes (or alternatively, from where the kicker will feel most comfortable).

This is correct. However, that is when they are BEHIND.
The post is talking about taking a knee while AHEAD and the defense not having enough timouts to stop the clock (thus the game is over) and then being upset that it takes down time at a faster rate and they cant kick their poor wittle field goal to complete their challenge.

The unexpected lack of control in any situation is frustrating. It's not like there's a rule that says if you take a knee, the clock must run off 30 seconds.
