Like if you were to spend lots of money, what's the highest possible OVR you could be RIGHT NOW?

85 OVR is easily possible, but I believe 86 OVR may be possible right now with the right strat cards and theme team boosts (Pre Season Standouts, Pregame Access and NFL team).

As long as we understand that OVR rating Does. Not. Matter.

This type of conversation is extremely confusing to new and old players alike. I play with dudes who have been involved in the game for DECADES, who still refer to cards by their OVR rating, which is at best a general measure of where you stand, but in no way indicative of how well a team will perform on the virtual gridiron. Heck, there are 72 OVR cards that remain some of THE best skill position players in the entire game. This is almost certainly a Top 5 wide receiver.

This year feels a bit different, in the sense that there are quite a lot of potential budget beasts. Cards that could legit win you games if you're able to acquire them, through sheer pack luck (or a lucky snipe). I don't recall having this much speed available on lower OVR players in the past few years. Although i've only been back involved with Madden since M22 and not seriously until partway through M23 game cycle.

I believe i'm an 83 OVR right now, spent a few bucks on Day 1, but just to give myself a bit of a head start.

I know all that, I was just asking, I'm staying on 25 until it goes down to 30 dollars in December.
