I know it has always been like this but I really wish speed wasn't the end all be all. I have trevon diggs and Jaire Alexander on the outside. I tried to run a little more realistic cover 3 scheme but I couldnt do anything because I outschemed him and covered everything else but a 79 ovr xavier worthy ran right past jaire alexander. It's annoying how even if a cb has like 90 mcv and 90 zcv atp in the year but had 82 speed he's still burnt toast. I get some guys like jamo really have made a name for themselves almost purely off of speed, but if someone rans a 4.34 40 yard a corner who ran a 4.48 isn't just gonna get burnt like a 94 speed wr would burn a 90 speed corner. If you have a corner with really high man coverage and press they should feel really sticky and only really get burnt by elite receivers, and for zone coverage does the zone coverage stat even provide a gameplay advantage besides having more knockouts. Also mut is and always will be on competitive gamestyle which I get is meant to like really utilize schemes and not so much complete player domination but a 82 ovr corner with 80+ mcv and zcv can't cover a 79 ovr wr with low route running that's a big problem and doesnt make sense. Yes I know this really long but it's just a rant about something that pisses me off.
Do you like the importance of speed
How's your pass rush look? If your players are getting to the QB fast enough that'll work wonders for your defense in general.
I don't think speed is as overpowered this year as it has in the past. Other stats definitely make the lower speed cards viable. Realistically, a corner is going to get beat here and there. Even our boy Stingley. Those corners with higher attributes elsewhere are going to win more often, if they get beat and who you're playing notices it and bombs it, then it is what it is.
I pulled 82 Harrison Smith (78 Spd) and he's by far been my most lockdown guy in the secondary.

Yeah I get every now an then, but in cover three xavier worthy just ran right by jaire on a WHEEL ROUTE which makes no sense.

You’re not wrong
I do hear you on this but in reality if someone is faster than you then you usually get smoked.

In hs and even college a little bit yes. In the nfl everyone is fast there is only a few true gamebreakering speedsters versus the vast amount in madden
