Yeah, I haven’t really been able to figure out how I feel about this feature yet. It’s definitely more simulation, which is what we’ve been clamoring for, but the all-or-nothing randomness of it is frustrating. If this is going to be a long-term feature, a real-life consideration with significant on-field implications is equipment, particularly cleats.

I’m not looking forward to having a future late-stage “Win-[x]-Games-in-a-Row” condition come down to having a player slip.

Glitch plays still exist but there are enough adjustments to make them less effective.

Pity the poor casual who ventures H2H against someone who has mastered all the new controls. Skill is going to make a big difference in 26.

EA put a lot of effort into new animations. They're entertaining for awhile but my one wish is for a switch to turn off extended animations after TD's, INT's etc. Second wish is to fix the AH bugs that have been there for years.

Skill has always made the difference in mut, and I dont mean those who run the meta best either

This is a pretty fair assessment -- at the end of the day, it's still Madden. However, they put an awful lot of lipstick on the pig and our expectations are so ridiculously low, from years of neglect and abuse (from EA). It was obvious that they barely tried last season, that game was objectively not good. With the bar so low, i'm also guilty of heaping praise for a fairly "smooth" launch.

Wish i had my pre-order bonus content, especially that Julius Peppers... and i'd apperciate if our offensive coordinator got his free Jalen Hurts, but the fact we actually got the Rookie Premier content at launch is nothing shy of a miracle. However, this stuff should be low hanging fruit and expected to get it correct.

Of course it's early and i'm still clearly in the honeymoon phase of the game, but i'm catching picks on defense and there's budget beasts which can allow nearly anyone to cobble together a team on Day 1 and get out there to start trying to compete, that's quite lovely. I do not recall the opportunity to get so much speed on the field, especially all these low OVR Gold cards which are borderline elite, often 85-86 SPD. I'd probably rate the launch period a 6.5 - 7(ish), but i'm feeling pretty generous.
