My favorite playbook has always used a lot of three TE sets. This year, that formation uses the backup right tackle as TE1. His inability to catch the ball ruins that part of my scheme. I can sub him out in the game other than for other linemen and fullback. Can this be changed?

I think it’s only audibles that you can set in practice mode. But try changing it in practice mode and see if it sticks.
Also have you looked at the packages available for that formation? There might be a 3 TE package or something you can flick to that makes it quicker in game.
