Coming From PS4 TO PS5 Help Please

Its a totally different game for me. Any tips going to PS5. 

My 1ST QUESTION - How on earth do I use the KICK Meter ? I've missed every single PAT so far. also any other tips would help.

You have to hold/press for both accuracy and power but release before the meter turns red.  In settings you can flip it back to the previous style.
