Im guessing with some practice, switching off to confuse the opponent is a must.
Stem routes? Glitchy, cheesy, just part of the game? Got patched so I'm guessing it was all of the above

You don't switch stick to confuse the opponent; you switch stick to gain control of a CPU-controlled defender that will inevitably do anything except what you wanted them to do.
The stem route glitch was patched more than ten months ago. It was never intended that repeatedly accessing a player's route and adjusting it multiple times in a peculiar sequence would deliver a speed boost off the line.
